The little rocks started lifting in the air until Alex, while all of this was happening headmistress Dowling told, without Alex noticing, a kid from the front row to scream loudly in his head. The kid looked at the professor with a weird look but did as he was told and as the yelling started Alex jumped in fright losing her focus making the pebbles drop from her telekinesis as they fell on the table and floor.
"Block out their thoughts, focus on your own. Do it again" Dowling told the kid and as he yelled again
Alex focused once again lifting the pebbles into the air placing them back onto the bowl
"Excellent" Dowling nodded at Alex before moving on to another student
About 15 minutes passed and Bloom was starting to get irritated as her wood sticks wouldn't light up no matter what she did while Aisha seemed to have trouble focusing on her water drops, Alex hearing her thoughts, unintentionally.
"Maybe it's a trick assignment." Bloomed laughed trying to lighten the mood between her and Aisha yet the water fairy was not having it
"Maybe it's all the talking" Aisha snapped, her mind had been off these past few days and none of the world couldn't put their finger on why
"A fire that lays waste everything on its path is instinctual and impulsive. What about when you need the fire to stop? Can you light a single piece of kindling and leave the other untouched? Bloom focused on the branches in front of her and as she did one of them lit up, she looked up to the headmistress who was lightly nodding at the ginger girl
Dowling walked to the back of the class where Beatrix, the air fairy, was sitting as she created some kind of electric field around what looked like sand "Impressive, Beatrix. Keep it up"
"You got it, Miss D" Beatrix said
"Headmistress Dowling" She corrected herself
"Your Grace..." the ginger whispered making Bloom and Aisha look back at her as they chuckled
Then it was Aisha's turn, she put her hands on the bowl of water in front of her "Yes. Control, I get the idea"
"I mean, I can do this" Aisha tried to hyper herself up as a big water drop floated out of the bowl
"Good Aisha, however... a single body of water, a mass of water is persistent and reliable. Consider the individual elements that combine to form the whole" Dowling explained
The professor separated a drop of water from Aisha's big water orb "a drop of water is unpredictable. Vague. Amorphous. Can you isolate it?"
"Can you maintain that which fights form?"
Aisha tried focusing on both water bodies but miserably failing, making the water go back to its original form splashing both herself and Bloom who quickly stood up at the sudden dash
"Something yet to be learned. That's all for today" Dowling said as she wiped the water off the sleeves of her green dress
"You cool?" Bloom asked her dorm mate
"Just tired, I'm gonna go for a swim" Aisha quickly answered before grabbing her backpack leaving the classroom headed to the lake to have a quick swim before her other classes of the day.
