AN: Trigger warning.
I hope you find that someone that looks at all of you, your flaws and your scars, and tells you how beautiful you are. Someone that kisses all your scars lovingly. They tell you that their love for you won't change. That you'll always be beautiful to them.
I hope you meet that person who stays no matter what. Even if you're crying on the floor with blood dripping from your wrists. A person that holds you tight at night when all you want to do is give up.
I hope you start to believe them when they tell you it's okay. That it's okay to give in sometimes, but the most important part is to keep trying and fighting. That you're not perfect and they know it's hard but they'll still stay. That you'll never be alone.
I hope you text them when you're laying there at night, the moonlight reflecting off the silver in your hand. When there are nights you don't know what else to do or how to make the pain stop, I hope you reach out to them. They want to be there for you. They want to help you.
I know it seems like it helps. It numbs you, makes you stop crying. Maybe it makes you feel in control of your feelings. Maybe it helps you release some of that anger and frustration. Maybe you like the pain. Maybe you feel like you deserve it, that you should punish yourself.
But it doesn't really feel that good after, does it? When it stings in the shower... when you have to constantly tug your sleeves or your shorts down... when you accidentally lay down on the marks and it burns...
But you're still here.
You're fighting.
And trying.
And if you need to hear it...
I'm proud of you.
I'm so proud that you're still here and fighting. I know how incredibly difficult and hard it is. I know you want to give in sometimes. Keep fighting and staying strong <3
