"Hey... How are you? I know it's been a while since we last talked." He shifted uncomfortably before settling into a chair opposite me.
I gaze off into the distance, staring at something he can't see.
To be honest, I don't know how I feel. Some people say that the worst feeling is sadness. I disagree. I think the worst feeling is a lack of feeling. Numbness. Because that's how I feel right now. He could yell and scream at me, tell me he never loved me, or that he's leaving, and I wouldn't feel anything. I wish I could. But you can't actually say this to someone, can you?
I turned my gaze back to him. " I'm fine," I replied with a smile. "How are you?"
AN: Apathy in a way is scarier than being depressed for me.
