Chapter 15- A Miracle Awaits

Elsie-
"And a miracle you shall get Elsie." I looked up just as Supreme Cordelia appeared in front of me. I slowly stood up, shocked at seeing her for the first time in two months. I didn't know if I should hug her or go down on my knees and apologize for what happened.

As if she read my mind, she smiled and spread her arms out. I took the few steps to close the distance between us and hugged her. I never thought I would see her again. I thought that she wouldn't want anything to do with me anymore. Obviously, my thoughts got the better of me.

"I missed you so much Elsa darling." She said as she brought arm length to examine me. "You're so much more radiant than you have been. My guess is that Jack had something to do with this?"

I could feel my cheeks heat up. I had noticed that I was no longer as depressed as I was three months ago and Jack had been a big part of the reason why. I nodded and looked at Cordelia to see her reaction. She smiled and let go of my shoulders. She turned around and started walking towards the door. I knew what she was up to so I quickly froze the doorknob. She turned around confused as to why I did that.

"Before you go out there and completely embarrass me in front of Jack, please know that he doesn't know about you. I never told him anything about you or anything about how you helped with my curse." I said looking at the floor. I heard her sigh and walk back towards me.

"I understand my child, but you needn't be embarrassed by me. I simply want to know the man who has made my child happy." She said as she placed her hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her and smiled.

I was grateful to have Cordelia as a second mother, Esther being the first of course. I couldn't imagine what my life would've been like if she wasn't contacted to help me control my curse. Seeing her there, standing in front of me, smiling so sweetly made me realize that I did matter. For years I had spent most of my life wondering if I ever belonged anywhere. If I was just a big dissapointment to my family. But being here now with the closest person I have to a mother and a guy who genuinely loves and cares about me is all I could ever ask for.

The only thing missing in this almost-perfect life is my sister, Anna. I was still stressing over the concept of how to bring her here and have her ditch Hans. I was also confused over the fact that Cordelia was here. Before I could bring anything up to her, there was a knock at the door.

"Elsie? Are you okay in there Snowflake?" Jack's muffled voice came from the other side. I looked at Cordelia and took a deep breath. I unfroze the doorknob and hesitated to open it. When I did, Jack looked as confused as I felt as his eyes landed on Cordelia. I cleared my throat and walked over to him.

"Jack, I'd like you to meet Supreme Cordelia Foxx. Cordelia, this is Jack Frost, my boyfriend." I introduced them and Cordelia extended her hand to shake Jack's hand. He returned the action and then turned to me.

"Elsie, can I talk to you? Alone." He said and before I could answer, Cordelia cleared her throat and said, "Of course, I'll just give you guys some privacy. Elsa dear you know how to call me." And with that, she vanished from our sight.

"Holy shit! How did she do that?" Jack said, shocked as this was the first time he'd ever seen someone do that. I laughed a little, thinking back to when I first met Cordelia. My reaction was almost exactly the same but I was a little more amazed than confused.

"Relax Jack. It's what she does." I said biting my lip to keep from laughing. He turned around, his blue eyes fierce and confused. "Does what? What is going on?" He gave me a confused look. Here goes nothing.

"Well here's the thing. She's a witch." I said watching him as he processed what I just said. He ran his hand through his hair and sighed. His head moved from side to side as if he was debating whether or not to believe it. Finally, he looked down at me and nodded. I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding and smiled.
