Chapter 10- What Does It Mean?

Elsie-
It was dark and cold. I couldn't see ahead of me. "Stop her!" I heard someone say. "Monster!" Then I heard footsteps coming closer. "No, please. Stay away!" I screamed. "Monster!"

I started running. Hard. I kept looking back trying to see if I lost them. Then I ran into someone and I reacted instinctively. I made a knife out of ice and stabbed that person without even looking at them. I looked to see.......Anna!

She looked down at the knife in her heart. She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "Sister........why?" She fell down and I fell on my knees looking at her. I grabbed her and held her in my arms. I cried and cried. Anna was the only family I had left and now she's gone.

I truly am a monster......

I woke up screaming my sister's name. I was breathing heavily and I was sweating. Auntie came in and she sat on the edge of the bed. I cried and she embraced me and told me that it was just a bad dream. She comforted me until I stopped crying and then she told me to try to go back to sleep. I nodded and she got up and left, closing the door behind her.

I laid back down but I couldn't sleep. I stared at the ceiling and that's when I felt her. I didn't move until she was sitting next to me on the bed. I turned to look at her and she was sitting there silently watching me. Supreme Cordelia looked as beautiful as the day I met her thirteen years ago. I was four at that time. When I was seven I asked her why she didn't look older. She told me that when a new Supreme comes into power that person get eternal youth until the next Supreme gets stronger.

A few months later, my father died. It was all over the news: 'CEO of Arendelle Franchises, Adgar Arendelle died September 22nd, 2005 leaving his wife Josette Arendelle and daughters Elsa and Anna a fortune.' I'll never forget that day. Cordelia placed her hand on top of mine and she saw what I had dreamed. She has the gift of Vision and can see anything that has happened recently or in the future.

"Your power is trying to find a way to control you with fear." She said as she removed her hand from mine. "Luckily you have seen the new power that is going to overpower this one."
"Ice is going to get rid of this curse?" I asked her, confused as to how ice was going to destroy or cure this curse.
"Not just ice Elsa. Your new power is you can control ice and snow. This is the power you were born with." Her brown eyes looked at me with intensity.

I was shocked. Power over ice and snow? Then I remembered the frost that covered my hand when I touched Jack's chest. Could it be? I felt myself heat up and before I knew it I had changed into the monster I am. Cordelia stood up and looked down at me. My power couldn't affect her but I was still careful.

"Leave." I told her gritting my teeth. She smirked and said, "Your power doesn't affect me Elsa. You know th-" I cut her off by throwing an icicle at her. She dodged it.
"LEAVE NOW! PLEASE! BEFORE I HURT YOU!" I couldn't control it anymore. My hands formed icicles and I threw them at her. She managed to dodge most of them but one cut her arm. She looked down at her arm and looked at me with hurt in her eyes. Then she vanished.

I stood there breathing heavily. What have I done? The icicles that were stuck to the wall melted away but my hair and eyes were still red. I heard the door open and Auntie and Punzie were standing in the doorway. Punzie gasped and Auntie covered her mouth with her hand. I looked to the ground ashamed of myself. I looked up just in time to see Punzie making her way towards me. I held up my hands to stop her.

"No! Don't come any closer. Please. I don't want to hurt you." Just then someone barged into the room and stopped in their tracks. Jack. I couldn't take it anymore. I fell to the ground and started to cry. The heat went away and left a coldness. I knew I changed back. I felt strong arms wrap around me. I hugged Jack tightly and cried even harder. He kissed the crown of my head and picked me up. He carried me to my bed and laid me down. I curled up into a ball. He quietly asked Auntie and Punzie if they could give us some privacy.

Seeing as I let Jack come near me, they nodded and walked out. Jack closed the door behind them and made his way to me. His face was stretched tight with worry and he pulled up a chair next to my bedside. I reached my hand out to touch his face and he put his hand over mine. He kissed my palm and held my hand tightly. I tugged his hand and he got up to lay beside me. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my neck. We stayed like that until we both fell back asleep.

Jack-

I woke up to hear screams coming from Elsie's house. I got up quickly and put my shoes on. I ran downstairs and out the door. I quickly made my way towards her house and I barged in the house. I ran up the steps and barged into her room. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw her. Her hair and eyes are red and there's ice surrounding the ground. She saw me and then she fell to her knees and started to cry. Her hair returned to it's normal color and I'm pretty sure her eyes did as well. I rushed to her and wrapped my arms around her. She hugged me back tightly and cried harder.

I kissed the crown of her head and picked her up bridal style. I walked to her bed and laid her down. I walked over to Primrose and Punzie and asked, " Could you guys give us some time alone?" They looked at Elsie and back at me. They nodded and walked out. I closed the door behind them and turned around to head back to my love. I grabbed a chair and put it beside her bedside and sat down. She touched my cheek and I grabbed her hand gently.

I kissed her palm and held her hand tightly. What was it that made her hair and eyes turn red? Could she have the same thing I do? Why was there ice surrounding her? So many questions ran through my mind but only Elsie could answer them. Whatever it was hurt her inside. She tugged my hand meaning she wanted me to lay down with her. I got up and laid down next to her. I hugged her and kissed her neck. I swore on my life that I would protect Elsie from whatever made her hurt inside. She's my true love and I will not hesitate to protect her from harm.

She's my snowflake and I'm her Guardian and nothing will come between us.
