Chapter 19- Coming Home

Elsie-

The sunlight coming through the crack in my curtains woke me up. I checked the time on my phone and it read 6:20 am. I jolted up and scrambled out of bed. Jack had texted me late last night telling me that he would be here at 8:30 for our train leaves at 10:30. That gave me at least and hour and a half to get ready and make sure everything was packed.

I got in the shower and did my morning routine. Shower, brush teeth, blow dry hair and straighten it, makeup, clothes and shoes. After about 30 minutes, I was done with everything. Just as I was slipping on my black Vans a knock at the door startled me. "Come in!" I said as I finished tying the shoelaces. I heard the door open and close and footsteps making their way towards me.

I got up and made my way to my desk to grab my passport and keys. Arms wrapped around me and a chin rested on my head. I smiled and said, "I'm almost done Jack." I turned around, passport and keys in hand only to face a confused Uncle Collin. I let out a surprised gasp as I realized that the person wasn't my boyfriend.

"Oh Uncle Collin. What are you doing here?" I said as I took myself out of his embrace. He let go and smiled. "Just wanted to see my favourite niece before she leaves." I smiled and shrugged off the fact that he hugged me that way. He hadn't done that since Punzie and I were little. "Oh, well, you've seen me." I grabbed my bag and put the passport and keys in it.

He chuckled and opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by the door opening, revealing a happy Jack dressed in a black t-shirt, denim skinny jeans, a black and blue striped jacket and black Vans. His eyes went from me to Uncle and he made his way to me. He put an arm around my waist and kissed my forehead. "Morning Snowflake, Mr. Corona." He said as his grip tightened a little on my waist before loosening up.

Uncle nodded at Jack in acknowledgement but kept his eyes on me. Jack noticed this and asked, "Ready to go Snowflake?" I tore my gaze from Uncle and looked at Jack. I nodded and he bent down to grab my suitcase. He faked a smile at Uncle Collin and we headed out of my room and downstairs. Auntie and Punzie were waiting by the door and Jack and I said our goodbyes.

While Jack put the bags in the trunk, I felt someone watching me. I turned around and faced the house and checked each window. Nothing. "Ready Snowflake?" Jack asked and I turned to him and he smiled. I smiled back but I couldn't shake the feeling of someone watching me. I got in the car and waited until Jack did before I turned to him and asked, " Do you think anyone, I don't know, could be following us?"

"What? No. Why do you ask?" He said as he put the keys in the ignition and started the car. I faced forward again and shrugged, " I don't know. I just sort of have that feeling." I looked out the window and Jack grabbed my hand. "Everything's okay Elsie. You're just nervous." I nodded and looked at him. He smiled and I returned the smile.

But I knew something wasn't right.

Anna-

"Come back here, you bitch!" Hans screamed as I ran away. I heard the crash of the table being smashed to pieces but I didn't dare look back. He was behind me. No doubt about that, but I had to at least try to make it to my room before he caught me. I turned the corner and collided with Esther. "Lady Anna, what is go-"

"Anna!!!! Where are you bitch!!" Hans cut her off and I looked behind me. My heart was pounding and I faced Esther. I silently begged her to help and she quickly pushed me into the cleaning closet and shut the door. I leaned against the wall and tears silently ran down my cheeks. How did this become my life?

Bits of gray spots began to form underneath me and I forced myself to calm down. I understood now why Elsa left. Her power could only cause harm to those she loved and that's the same fear I have. I could've used it so many times on Hans, but I was afraid of using too much and killing him. The gray spots slowly went away and I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Anna! Come out, come out wherever you are. Please sweetheart. I'm sorry. Let's just talk things out." He sounded hurt. I remained as still as I possibly could and the tears continued running down my cheeks. Esther did the right thing in leaving. Lord knows how bad Hans' temper is. His footsteps started to fade as he searched somewhere else.

I waited until I couldn't hear them anymore before making a mad dash for my room. Turning the corner, I ran into him. He grabbed my arm and shook me. "You think you can hide from me?" I let out a sob as he gripped my arm tighter. "Hans, please. Please don't do this." For a second his eyes and face had softened and it was like looking at the Hans I had fallen in love with three years ago. But all that changed as his face went back to the cold, unfeeling face it was.

He lifted his hand and brought it down hard. My cheek stung and he picked me up and carried me to his room. I knew what he was going to do and I tried fighting him but his grip was too strong. He kicked the door open and walked in, kicking the door closed. He threw me onto the bed and straddled me. I began to hit his chest but my hands bounced off, not having any affect.

He grabbed my hands and pinned them above me on the bed. He began kissing me fiercely and with his free hand, trailed my body to the button of my shorts. He unfastened it and yanked them down my thighs, down to my feet. He did the same to my underwear before unfastening his jeans and shedding them with his boxers as well. Tears kept running down my cheeks, making my vision blurry.

As he lowered himself into me I couldn't help but think,
Why me?

-On the train-

Elsie-

I felt a pain in my stomach and I sat up. Grabbing the side of my stomach I slowly stood up and walked to the bathroom. Another sharp pain sent chills down my back. This wasn't something that could be happening to me. Anna. She was in pain and I was feeling it as well. Another sharp pain, another. I took a deep breath and slowly the pain went away.

I went back to Jack and he seemed to have woken up. "Everything okay Elsie?" He asked as I sat down. I nodded and he grabbed my hand. I laid my head on his shoulder and he laid his head on top of mine. As I was slowly drifting of to sleep again, a sharp pain in my chest told me something bad had happened to Anna.

Something not even Cordelia could fix.........
