(The Ghost of You by My Chemical Romance)
Anna-
"Oh come on. You must have at least tasted Pecan ice cream once in your life." Kristoff said while spooning some ice cream in his mouth. I laughed.
"I swear I never have and I don't intend to." He looked at me with a funny expression and we both laughed.
"Alright. Whatever you say. But you're missing out." He said and pointed the spoon at me.
I was sitting in the living room with Kristoff when my phone rang. I looked at the caller I.D but it didn't have one. The country said Tromso and I figured it was Esther, my nanny.
"Hello?" I answered. I looked at Kristoff and he was watching me with admiration in his eyes as he spooned more ice cream in his mouth.
"I'm coming home my sweet." A deep voice said on the other end of the line. My heart stopped cold because I knew who it was. Yet I still had to make sure.
"Who is this?" I asked, swallowing and my eyes met Kristoff's and he put the tub of ice cream down and reached for the phone. I swatted his hand away lightly and asked the question again. Laughing. I heard him laughing before he answered, "You know exactly who this is darling." Then he hung up.
The phone fell from my hand as I was horrified. How did he get out? How does he know where I am? How did he get a phone to begin with? I was told by security officials that I would be safe now that he was in custody. I was assured when I found out that he had pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity that the state mental institution was highly guarded and no one could escape. And yet, here I was scared for my life because of one phone call.
"What is it Anna?" Kristoff eyed me worriedly as he ducked his head and I realized my breathing had gotten heavier. I looked at him, tears brimming my eyes and said, "My worst nightmare has come true." He didn't seem to understand until I explained the situation and why I had come here and then he had me in his arms and gently rocking us, saying calming reassuring things. We both needed them, even if they weren't true. We both knew what was going to come and I could tell that he felt helpless with all of this. There was only one person who could stop Hans.
And that person was me................

Katherine-
"It's been months since your brother's disappearance and those damned cops haven't found even a single trace of him!" Mother paced around the room nervously rubbing her hands together. Her normally porcelain skin looked stretched and tight and she had dark circles under her eyes. She had been worrying about Jack since the day he didn't come back from Norway. She stayed up every night and sat by the phone, waiting, hoping for the phone to ring and Jack's voice on the other end apologizing for his sudden disappearance.
"I bet that Elsie girl had something to do with it. She seems like the person to do something like that. After all, she did put my son in the hospital." She laughed a bitter laugh and I stood up.
"Elsie had nothing to do with it Mother!" I said, "Elsie came back devastated and just as worried as you. I wouldn't blame Jack if he walked in through the door and said he needed to be away for a while. God knows anywhere is better than here." She turned around and slapped me. I held my cheek as it began to sting and looked at her. She looked at her hand like she couldn't believe what she had done.
"You never cared about either of us. You only cared about your job and yourself. You never wanted us. We were mistakes, children you couldn't get rid of. Tell me Mother, do you regret the day you married father and gave birth to us? Were we so inconvenient to you that you paid no attention to us and had us raised by nannies?" I said, sick of the way she treated Jack and I as if we were burdens on her. Burdens that came at a bad time when she was rising to the top in her career.
Her silence gave me the answer I had known all along. I walked out of the room and down the hall to my room. I slammed the door and went to my closet. Grabbing a large suitcase and walking back out, I began to pack clothes and the necessities. I couldn't, wouldn't stay here anymore. She had no right to treat me or anybody like this. Now I understood why Jack worked so hard in school. So he could get away from this house, from the emptiness that came from living in it. Who would want to live in a cold house with the Ice Queen for a mother? I certainly didn't.
After getting everything I needed, I walked out of my room, down the stairs and outside. I walked down the path and turned and walked up the path to Elsie's house. I knocked on the door and waited. I looked down and tried to blink away the tears that were brimming my eyes. I didn't hear the door open until it was too late. I looked up and Punzie had a worried, confused expression. I couldn't speak for if I did, I'd burst and cry on the front porch. Punzie must've understood because she took the suitcase from my hands and guided me into the house. She ordered a few maids to prepare a room for me but I had never felt so numb.
The realization that my own mother never wanted me had caught up to me and I couldn't function. So many questions ran through my head as to why she had us. Why did she get married? Why did she allow herself to have children? Love had nothing to do with it because my mother was incapable of loving others. What was she hiding? I had to find out but it was clear I would get nowhere with her. I had to seek help from an unlikely source.

-Narrator-
The night was cool and the moon shone bright as the wind blew softly through the cherry blossom trees. The traffic could be heard rumbling in the distance and Hans sat on the top of the hotel roof. He had come here for a reason but he wasn't so sure he could go through with it. Instead of a red headed, blue eyed girl filling his every thought, she was slowly fading and being replaced by a dark haired, pale, blue eyed girl by the name of Mavis.
He didn't understand how after one conversation, she dominated his every thought. It didn't help that he had asked her to hang out with him tomorrow night. He watched as the traffic went by and the stars slowly starting peeking out from the navy blue sky. He had done absolutely nothing he had planned to do when he came here. What am I doing here? He thought, Anna's probably so much happier here. Maybe it's time to let her go.
That last thought made him realize the truth. After 3 years with Anna, he finally realized that their relationship had been over for a long time. They both just needed to realize it. He smiled and looked up at the sky. He now understood what his true reason for coming here was. To start over and forget about the past. The past was the past and he had finally stepped out of it and into reality.
Maybe the key to his starting over was a new beginning.
Maybe the key was a girl named Mavis.......
