Elsie-
I woke up in my room confused. Then everything from last night came flooding back. Jack Frost made me blush 5 times last night and I think he enjoyed it. Of course he enjoyed it Elsa. He smiled every time you blushed! The voice in my head said.
I got up and took a quick shower. I put on a black lace dress that went up to half my thigh, black tights, a long black cardigan, black boots , my blue snowflake necklace and my black diamond stud earrings. I brushed my hair and put it in a messy french braid. I grabbed my black snowflake bag and walked out.
I walked into the kitchen and grabbed and apple. A note was left on the counter from Auntie. I picked it up and read it.
Elsie,
Your cousin and I have a doctor's appointment so we will not be here when you come home from school, but for now I got called into work early and Punzie has to help with the decorations for the Summer Luau. I have arranged for you to be taken and brought to and from school by our neighbor's son who also goes to school with you. Tomorrow we will go get you a car of your choice.
With love,
Aunt Primrose.
As I finished reading the note I heard a knock at the front door. I walked out of the kitchen and opened the door. I was met by a pair of dark blue icy eyes. Jack Frost. He smiled at me and looked at me from head to toe. Is he checking me out?
"What are you doing here?" I asked as I crossed my arms in front of my chest.
"I came to take my neighbor's neice to school. What a coincidence that it's you." He said as his gaze lingered on my breasts.
"Wait you're my neighbor?" I said shocked.
"Yeah I am." He said as he licked his lips. I realized he was still looking at my cleavage.
"Hey buddy my eyes are up here." I said snapping in front of his face. He shook his head and looked at my eyes.
"Sorry."
"Just wait here." I said as I turned to go back in the kitchen to grab my bag and my apple. I walked back out and Jack was leaning in the doorway. He smiled at me and I could feel my cheeks getting hot.
"Wow Elsie you look great, no you look beautiful." He said as we walked out of the house and I closed the door behind me and locked it.
"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself." I smiled at him. It was true he looked hot in his white v-neck shirt, black jeans and white vans. His gray jacket and gray beanie made him look even hotter. Wait! What am I thinking?
I shook my head slightly to get back to reality. I barely know Jack. I don't have a crush on him. Do I? We walked to his dark blue Corvette and he opened the door for me all while saying "I know." And he gave me that smile he gave me last night at Starbucks. My heart skipped a beat and my cheeks grew hot. I looked down and got in. He closed the door and walked around to the driver's side and got in. He started the car and drove away from the curb and headed onto the beltway.
The cherry blossom trees lined the streets dropping pink leaves on the narrow road. The Big Ben could be seen in the distance proudly standing tall amongst the society. It sure is better than Norway. The place where I intend to leave my past behind and start fresh here. I only hope I can keep the monster in me buried deep inside my soul. No one should have to go through what I put Anna through. She deserves a life. A life without me and any harm I can cause.
I felt Jack put a hand on my shoulder. I looked over to him and he smiled at me. A sad soft smile and I could tell he knew something was wrong. I smiled at him and he seemed to relax. He put his hand back on the steering wheel and watched the road while watching me through the corner of his eye.
There's something about Jack that I can't quite figure out. It seems like he's hiding something but I think I'm just being paranoid. I looked out the window and saw the school coming up. Jack pulled into the parking lot and turned off the car. I looked at the school and immediately wanted to go home. I looked at Jack and he was staring at me.
"Do I have to go?" I asked and then turned back to see the girl with colored tips with the guy with black hair and blue eyes. I slid down the seat when they looked our way.
"Why? What's wrong?" He said as he looked to where I was looking.
"I'm scared." I said as I looked at him.
Jack-
"I'm scared." She said as her icy blue eyes looked at me with worry. I knew she was scared that Tearny, North and Aster would do something to her like they did to her yesterday. I had to do something but what? I can't let her know that I was the person who stopped them yesterday. Not yet anyways.
I came up with an idea. I took off my beanie and gave it to her.
"Here put this on. Make sure you hide all of your hair and put these on also." I said as I handed her a pair of black sunglasses from the glove compartment. She did as she was told and I got out and opened her door. I gave her my staff and told her to just play along. I had my hand on her back as I guided her towards the school. Tearny saw us and she walked over. She stopped in front of Elsie.
"Hey Jack who's this? Another newbie?" She smirked as I saw she was hoping that it was.
"No actually this is Mary-Elizabeth. She's been going here for the last three years." I prayed in my mind that she bought it.
"Really? How come I've never seen you before?" She asked Elsie.
Elsie looked to the right of Tearny and said in a very good British accent.
"That's because you spend too much time in front of the mirror than in class actually learning." I smirked at her response. I guess the fake identity helps with her confidence. Maybe not. Tearny grabbed her arm and brought her face close to Elsie's.
"Watch what you say to me or I'll make sure you wish you were never even born. Got it No-Eyes?" Elsie nodded her head and Tearny let go of her arm. She smiled at me and walked away. I looked at Elsie and she was taking deep breaths.
"You okay?" I asked placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Can we go inside now?" She said with a shaky breath. I guided her inside the school still playing the part and went with her to her locker. I looked around to see if any of North's gang was around, but they weren't.
I wish I could tell her that I was the guy who helped her but I don't know how she would react to that. What if she hates me? I mean I did stand around until Aster was about to kick her.
"Jack?" She said as she placed her hand on my shoulder pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah?" I said looking at her. She was still wearing the beanie and sunglasses.
"I suppose I should give these back to you. Right?" She said as she was handing me my staff and reaching her hand to take off the beanie. Before she could do that I grabbed her hand to stop her. I grabbed my staff from her other hand and said,"Keep the beanie and sunglasses. Just make sure to avoid them as much as possible."
She looked at me and brow furrowed. I could tell she was asking questions in her head. Then she looked down to see I was still holding her hand and she blushed. She was about to open her mouth to say something but the bell rang.
"You should get to your class." I said then kissed her forehead, let go of her hand and walked to my class. Oh boy am I in trouble.
After one day I realized that........
I'm falling in love with Elsie Snowdon.
