I just cried because everything has been too exhausting.
"I will go down and talk to your father. In thirty minutes, Nina, you need to get to my car, you need to get outside. No matter what happens, you need to get out, okay?"
"How about you, Mom? I can't leave you here."
"You have to, anak. I will be fine. I need you to get out of here. Huwag kang hihingi ng tulong sa mga pulis, o sa kahit sino. Mababayaran lang sila ng daddy mo at ibabalik kang muli rito. Kahit halos hindi ko maintindihan ang mga bilin niya ay tumango pa rin ako.
"I will make him his dinner," ani Mommy at tumindig na. Nagbihis muna siya bago mag tungo sa pintuan ng kwarto. Bago siya lumabas ay lumingon muna siya sa akin.
"Nina," she called.
"Mommy."
She smiled bitterly.
"I love you, anak." Then, she closed the door.
I got myself cleaned up and I got dressed. I got my backpack and packed some clothes.
Sa pagkakaintindi ko kay Mommy... patatakasin niya ako.
