"Case, dismissed." Judge Enriquez announced that caused the whole court to be filled with gibberish whispers.
Putangina?
Second trial in court and the case that I filed against that fucking demon is already dismissed?
Nathan pulled me closer to him and whispered something.
"Hold on, I'll take care of this." He assured me.
He stood up and cleared his throat before speaking.
"Judge, with all due respect, you can't possibly dismiss the case in an instant. We have more evidences to present and you should see those—"
The judge cut him off immediately.
"Fortunately, Attorney Velasquez, I can. I can dismiss the case especially that I can now see that we're heading nowhere here. There are a lot of loopholes and unsupportive grounds. Ang daming butas na hindi niyo matatapalan. The witnesses also attested that Mr. Mateo Arce is innocent."
"But you can't dismiss the case yet if we haven't—" pilit na nagsasalita si Nathan pero pinutol ulit ng judge ang sasabihin niya.
"Attorney Velasquez, if you think that you'll have power over me because you're Mayor Velasquez's son, then, you're wrong because guess what? Wala ka sa probinsya niyo."
"I have no intention to use my power as my father's son but I will use my power as a lawyer. You're not seeing the real deal here." Nathan sounded so mad.
"Pardon, Attorney Arce? Are you accusing me of taking bribes?" Walanghiyang tanong ng judge.
"Oo! Mayaman iyang demonyong 'yan, e!
The judge smirked which angered me more.
His tone was laced with disappointment.
"Have you forgotten your principles, Judge Enriquez? I spat and the whole court went silent.
He deserved to rot in jail! He deserved to suffer in hell!
