"Congratulations, Atty. Arce!

"Thank you," I answered and gave out my warm smile.

It's another rape case.

There's a lot of reasons why we wake up every morning. And one of those reasons is that He's giving us a chance to show kindness to other people but most especially, to show kindness to ourselves.

It is nice to be kind to yourself, especially if you think that the whole world is against you, you only have yourself as your companion in winning the battles that you may encounter as you live.

Apart from being a lawyer, I am also an advocate of women empowerment.

I strongly fight against women violence, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.

My mother was right when she told me that there are a lot of people out there who seeks for my help.

I am glad to extend my helping hand to them.

A year of being a lawyer already brought my name up to the top.

In every court trials that I attend to, I always make sure that I am at my best.

I wanted to put those lowlives in prison. I wanted to make them suffer for inflicting such pain and agony to those helpless victims.

If they can inflict pain towards other people, then, I am pretty sure that they are also ready to face the consequences of their wrong actions.

I will never forget about my principles. I will never get eaten up by greed. I will never turn my back to those people who needed me, and will need me to fight for them.

It is never easy for me whenever I am defending someone in court. Especially that their cases triggers my emotions and my memories.

But whenever I see how the victims lost themselves because of what happened to them, my eagerness to win the case just gets even more stronger.

They shouldn't have felt that way. If only those abusers can keep their zippers closed.

Rape cases occurs because rapists are on the loose.

Victim blaming should stop. The misery of the victims shouldn't be blamed to them. They never asked the rapists to rape them.

If you don't receive any consent, then, you have no right to touch a woman, or a man.

Kahit pa hubo't hubad na ang tao sa harap mo, as long as hindi ka pinapayagan na hawakan siya, hindi mo siya maaaring hawakan. Dahil wala kang karapatan.

The problem with the society is that most of the people in it were becoming rapist enablers and victim blamers.

Kaya siguro na-rape. Kasalanan niya rin."

Those statements that keeps going around the society makes me want to puke.

Fuck the society we're currently living in.

There's no compassion among people. They are just filled with negativity.

I am just hoping that this would change. I am hoping that the upcoming generations can change how fucked up the world is right now.

The justice system, I hope it change someday, too. Wherein all people are equal.

There won't be no powerful and no powerless. There won't be no rich and no poor. There won't be no greed that overpowers the principles of the law enforcement. There won't be no bribery.

Just the rightful justice that every human in this world deserves.

The oppression should stop as well.

The rest of the people who are apathetic with what's happening should make a move against the oppressors.

Most of the people are just nothing but added noise to the current situation.

The oppressed needed voices to speak for them. Voices that can help them with their situation. Voices that can change the situation.

Most of the apathetic are the ones who are privileged.

They already have everything they need in their lives, so why bother on making a move against oppression?

Well, this is what I have to say : USE YOUR PRIVILEGE WISELY!

As a lawyer, I am using all my privilege and my power to help those people who are in need of proper care and attention, especially in the world that keeps on neglecting them.

Let us all be one's hope. Let us all extend our helping hand to those who needs us. Let us all be one's sunshine in their strongest storm.

You can change someone's life in making a simple move in your everyday life.

You can be someone's reason to smile.

Always choose to be the better person.

No matter if the whole world turns its back on you, you should keep on trying until it decides to face you once again.
