"HOLY SHIT!" Kaito screamed involuntarily. He slammed the breaks as hard as he could, causing the bike to skid. Maki held on for dear life as the bike was slowing down to a stop. The tires scratched the road, making clear, black skid marks on the road. Kaito screwed his eyes shut as he silently prayed for the bike to stop on time. The bike eventually did, just inches away from the fire. Kaito opened his eyes as sweat dripped down his face. He looked at the bright flames before he was forced to look away. He and Maki faced the biker as he came closer to them. As the biker approached them calmly, the wall of flames died down, leaving behind a straight line of bubbling tarmac.
Maki glared at the biker. Getting the feeling that she might use her powers, Kaito grabbed her arm. The last thing that he wants was to risk a deadly fight. So far, the biker only chased them and stopped them from going any further. He hasn't done anything to harm them. They both looked at the stranger, challenging him to try something. It was what the biker said however, that made them both go a little more on edge.
