Not gonna lie, the struggle was real with this chapter. I think I'm slowly descending into writer's block. Great 😒

I hope that this chapter isn't bad.

Security seemed to have been lax in this new area. There weren't any guards at all. It could change, but there wasn't anyone there. The area just seemed to be deserted. It was quite foreboding just to be here. The area was still cared for, it was just as clean and white as everywhere else. However, the lights had been dimmed down, making it almost seem like the three Limitless were wandering into a ghost town. There were doors that led into different rooms, but there was one that seems to stand out more than the others. It seems to have cables running into the room. There was also a light from the other side of the door that showed clearly in the dim lighting.

"This is way too easy." Kokichi grinned as he started picking the lock again.

"Hey! Try not to jinx it!" Kaito hissed at him, once again glancing around nervously. Kokichi had a point though. This was starting to become way too easy to try to find answers. If this room was that important, then there should guards be posted here. Or at least an electronic lock where Kokichi's lock picking skills were useless. The locked clicked. Kaito gently turned the handle and pushed the door slightly open. He could see computer monitors, the source of the light. There was a big chair in front of them. Many cables were connected to it, seeming to also be connected to the monitors. There seemed to be the shape of someone sitting in the chair. They didn't seem to notice the lock being turned or the door being opened. They seemed to be looking at something on the monitor. Were they looking at information on the internet? That's strange. Wasn't there supposed to be no contact with the outside world? Maybe being in this room was the only way to do that?

Kaito put a finger to his lips, signalling the other two to stay quiet. Kokichi looked like he was ready to shout, but Shuichi rapidly covered his mouth to make sure that didn't happen. Kaito cautiously crept up to the chair. He tried to be as silent as he could. He didn't know who was sitting there, but he can't take any chances. He clenched his fist tightly, ready to attempt to knock this person out. However, a hand caught his fist just as he launched his fist towards them. A hand made of....metal? Kaito felt like the wind had been knocked out of him as the person stood up. At first he thought that this was a boy around about his age. However, there were things about the boy that didn't quite fit. The clothing that he wore was more of metallic plating with four buttons running from his chest to his stomach. The "clothing" seemed to be representing that of a gakuran, a school uniform that was worn by male high school students. His skin was incredibly pale, paler than Maki's, with black lines running from his eyes to his chin. He had white hair appeared to be sharp, along like an ahoge and his eyes were blue.

"What the-?!" Kaito couldn't stop himself from exclaiming as he realised that the boy he was about to attack was a robot.

"Might I suggest that you calm down, and don't try to attack me again. I don't want to hurt you unless I have to." The robot said calmly. Kaito was so surprised that he didn't realise that he was nodding or that Shuichi and Kokichi came into the room until the robot released his fist. .shuichi closed the door behind them, trying to make it look like they weren't inside the room. The robot calmly looked at the three Limitless. "I don't think that you three are supposed to be here. Limitless are prohibited from entering this room. I won't call the guards, but I suggest that you leave now." Without waiting for anything, the robot calmly sat back down. As he did so, Kaito couldn't help but noticed how some of the cables were attached to him. Was he connected to the computer somehow?

"Hold on! We're just looking for answers here. We don't want any trouble." Kaito tried to reason. This robot didn't seem bad. He actually seems like a decent person so to speak. He hasn't called the guards, at least as far as Kaito could see. He might be able to help out.
