I am so sorry for what is about to come.

Kaito didn't know what the time was. Without the aid of a window, he can't tell the time of day on his own. He was tired, hungry, thirsty and cold. He had continued to hold Kokichi close to him, trying his best to give the smaller boy comfort. No one spoke nor moved around much, most likely to try to to aggravate their current injuries too much. No one had come to check on them or offer something to eat or drink. With all the silence combined with not seeing anyone else, Kaito briefly wondered if they had just been abandoned for the rest of the day. Or night.

That was what Kaito wondered until there was a brief buzz filling the air. Kokichi flinched horribly, automatically clutching Kaito even tighter. Everyone had the same reaction. Everyone huddled closer to each other, even Tenko allowed Kiyo to touch her and Angie, as the sound of heavy boots started to echo. Two guards strode in. Kaito glared at them through the glass as they approached his and Kokichi's cell. The ceiling to floor glass door opened, allowing Kaito to see the magnets on the floor and ceiling that were used to keep the door locked. The guards wasted no time in yanking Kokichi out of Kaito's grasp, tossing him as if he were a mere rag doll. Kaito was grabbed just as harshly. He dug his heels into the ground, jerking his body as hard as he could. One of the guards grabbed their baton and shocked him. After not being used to the brutal punishment for weeks, Kaito couldn't hold back a scream. He was shocked so harshly that he lost all feeling from the waist down temporarily. Kokichi pressed himself tightly into the corner opposite them as the guards proceeded to drag Kaito away. The door closed promptly after they exited the cell. As there was another buzz in the air as the door locked. The guards continued to drag Kaito away, leaving the other Limitless to watch with hopeless eyes. Kokichi sighed, curling up even tighter on himself. That's when he felt something in his pocket, something that he was sure that wasn't there before. He hesitantly slipped a hand into his pocket. He grasped the small object in his hand and pulled it out. In the palm of his hand was a panic button.

Kaito's panic button.

Kokichi leapt to his feet, banging on the walls of his cell. Everyone looked up, a little surprised to see him being so energetic all of a sudden. Kokichi pressed the panic button on the glass, it's blinking red light made clear against black colour of the small box.

"Guys! Look!" Tenko shouted, exclaiming and jumping up the second she saw the small device.

"Is that a-" Gonta slowly started to ask, his eyes lighting up immediately.

"Atua says that Kaito gave Kokichi his panic button presumably after activating it." Angie explained, immediately reading Kokichi's mind. She might not be able to see, but she had a feeling as to what everyone was suddenly getting excited about.

"That son of a gun." Ryoma smiled, impressed by what Kaito had done.

"There's still hope..." Kaede whispered, hope growing brighter and brighter inside her. Everyone felt the same as a feeling of weightlessness went through them. Help was coming. They were going to be saved.

As Kaito was dragged down the pure white corridors, he briefly took in his surroundings. There was something different about this Facility. Large iron plates were on one side of the wall, held up by screws. Were the iron plates covering up windows or something like that?! This proves more than ever that this was a new location. It gave Kaito some relief, but it didn't last long. He still fought as hard as he could to try to get away. He wanted to delay the experiment as long as he could. He wanted to try to give as much time as he could for Shuichi, Maki, Himiko and Keebo to come save the others. Unfortunately, his fighting, even when he tried flying, resulted in him getting shocked. It got so bad that Kaito eventually became limp. He was still conscious, but he couldn't move at all. It was like he was paralysed. And that thought in itself was horrifying to him.
