This chapter might be a little boring, because it is mostly dialogue, but most of it is important to the story.

I hope you guys enjoy the chapter.

Kaito felt like he had been hit by a car when he started coming around. His head was killing him. His body felt heavy, as if it were made of lead. He couldn't quite move it completely, but he felt like he was getting some feeling back. He opened his eyes, and pretty much regretted it afterwards. Either he saw so much white to last him a lifetime that he's starting to hallucinate the colour, or he was actually seeing the colour white. Either way, it made his headache a little worse. He closed his eyes to take in his surroundings as best he could. He couldn't hear anything. The ground felt soft under him. Not soft like he was on a mattress. It was soft like he was laying on something that was padded. He didn't feel like he was tied down, which was a relief. He remembered everything that happened in the lab. He didn't feel like his back had been savaged into or his spine was messed with as he twitched his toes just to make sure. It give him more relief at that. He just felt a little numb where he had been stabbed with the needle. They must have just knocked him out and brought him to wherever this place is. He must have made more damage than he thought he did in the lab. At least he put the lab out of commission for a short while. But for how long?

Kaito opened his eyes again, feeling like his head had been cleared up a bit. He definitely didn't hallucinate the colour white. Feeling like his body can function fully again, he slowly sat up. He took in everything. Well, not that there was much to take in anyways. He was in a 6x6 room. This room truly made him feel like he was in a mental hospital now. The floor, the walls the ceiling was padded. There was a tiny vent in the ceiling to circulate the air, but that's all that Kaito had to the outside. There was no door, at least, not one that he could see. Not even a window on the door. There was nothing in the room either to keep Kaito occupied. There wasn't even a fresh shirt for him to put on (his upper half was still bare). Kaito looked for a way out, but there was nothing. He tried to get himself off the ground, but his powers weren't working. Did this place block his powers?

"HEY! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUTTA HERE!" Kaito screamed, his voice echoing around the room. He didn't know if anyone could hear him, but he had to try. He was starting to go crazy in this room, and he had only been in it for a minute.

"Stop shouting. You'll only lose your voice."

Kaito's body swung around so fast that he almost slipped over. Where did that voice come from? There was no one else in here other than him. Either he was losing it because of the sedative drug he was given, or there was a ghost in here with him.

"W-w-who's there? Y-you're not a g-g-ghost, are you?" He stuttered, feeling a chill run through his body.

"Don't be stupid." The voice scowled. "Search along the walls on the floor. You'll find a hole there. I think a mouse must have gotten in here at some point." Kaito tonight that the voice sounded familiar, but he couldn't be sure. He listened to the voice, and got down on his stomach. He crawled slowly along the floor, keeping a close eye on the wall. It took him a minute, but he was able to find a small hole that only a mouse could fit through. He peaked through it as best he could. The hole was a tunnel that exited the room next door. Telling by the background, it was a room identical to his. Straining his eye to have a better look, he could see dark brown hair.

"Maki?!" Kaito found himself exclaiming out of impulse.

"Why do you sound so surprised? Who else were you expecting?" Maki replied. Kaito couldn't see it, but he could picture her rolling her eyes. Telling by the fact that he was unable to use his powers, Maki was probably in the same position as him. Otherwise, she would be out of here by now. But that means...
