"LET ME OUT! YOU CAN'T KEEP US HERE! YOU CAN'T!"

That's all that Kaito could scream as he pounded heavily on the door. Since he, Shuichi and Kokichi were caught, he had been locked in his room. He screamed, kicked and pounded at the door. He even tried to ram it down, which only resulted in him getting a bruise on the shoulder. He didn't know how long he had kept up his protest for, it must have been for hours. No matter how loud he screamed and how hard he abused the door, no one came to see him or let him out. He knew that there must be someone posted outside his door if by some chance he was able to break the door down. He stopped eventually as he felt his throat go raw and his body felt drained. He was a little thankful that he was given food and water through a small slot by the door that he didn't notice until now. These people weren't going have him dying on them clearly. As Kaito ate slowly, he couldn't help but blame himself for what had happened. Why didn't he go to White's office and see Keebo all on his own? He shouldn't have dragged his friends into it like they didn't matter. He didn't know what was happening to them, but he's the one that deserves the punishment, not them. He'll have to hope that he can talk White into letting Shuichi and Kokichi off the hook instead of punishing them. They didn't need to be put through more hurt than they already have gone through over the years.

Kaito had been sitting on his bed silently. He wasn't going to waste anymore strength unless he had to. He still wasn't giving up. He was going to get everyone out of this place. He didn't care if he didn't get out, so long as everyone else does. That's what kept repeating in Kaito's mind until the door finally opened. Kaito automatically felt himself glaring as he saw White at the door.

"I warned you, Momota. I told you that you were on your last warning." The man said, his tone reminding Kaito of his school principal scolding him.

"Yeah, well I was never that great at listening." Kaito shrugged crossing his arms defiantly.

"In the last few years, there has never been a Limitless that caused this much trouble in at least a week." White continued to scold, ignoring Kaito's remark.

"Gee, I wonder why." Kaito scoffed as he stood up. The guards behind White grabbed their weapons, ready in case Kaito tried to attack the doctor. "You and your people say that we're not human, but that's not true. The only non human that I see here is people like you."

"Oh really?" White sighed, as if this was something that he heard on a regular basis.

"What kind of monster takes kids away from their families and locks them away just because they're a little different?" Kaito pressed. He knows that it won't change White's mind, but he really needed to let all of this out. He had kept it bottled up since the first day that he was brought here. It would give him some relief by letting all this out now.

"That is besides the point." White sighed again.

"How many families have you torn apart because you took their kids and loved ones away from them?!" Kaito shouted, ignoring White. He couldn't help but see the image of his grandparents looking completely heartbroken just by him going missing. He tried to block it out, but then embraced it as it fuelled him to keep fighting. "No one deserves what you've put them through in this prison. If anyone should be locked up and be put through that torture, it's you!" White shrugged nonchalantly as he wiped his glasses on his coat. If those guards weren't there, Kaito wouldn't have hesitated in knocking the man's teeth in. He wouldn't have hesitated in hurting the man so much that he would be in the hospital for a long time. Just anything to make sure that everyone could escape.

"You, Oma and Saihara will be transferred to another facility." White said, oblivious to Kaito's words. Was this guy pretending to be deaf or something? That didn't matter as Kaito processed what was said. Kokichi and Shuichi were being punished as well, just as he had feared. However, another thing that worried Kaito. Another facility? There was another facility somewhere? Was that full of other Limitless that were being tortured? So many questions ran through Kaito's head that he could process all of them correctly.

"Like Hell I'm gonna just give up! You're not going to stop me from getting everyone outta here!" He protested loudly. Again, he wished that the guards weren't there so he could knock White out. He had clenched his fists so hard at this point that he felt like his fingernails were piercing the skin on his palms. His body was so tense that he may as well as been a stone statue.

"Then, I suppose that I'll have to bring your grandparents into this." White suddenly spoke casually.

"What?" Kaito stuttered, feeling like he was going to have a heart attack.

"If you resist, I will have to be forced to take drastic measures." White shrugged, again far too casual for Kaito's liking. It was like the doctor was so used to making threats that it might as well have been a daily occurrence to them. Kaito felt like the ground was ready to swallow him up at that moment. He wanted to get away, he wanted to get everyone out. That's all that he wanted. However, his grandparents suddenly became more of a priority at that moment. He didn't want to think that the worst might happen to them, but he wouldn't put it past White. His fists slowly unclenched as he sat down back on the bed. He didn't know what else to do or say at this point. There was nothing that he could do.

"I'm glad that we've finally come to an understanding." White smiled creepily as he saw the defeated look on Kaito's face. "It's almost a shame, but I'm glad to see that you're finally given up. Transport will pick you three up in a few hours. And you had better behave." Kaito didn't hear or look at the doctor. He didn't start moving until he heard the door closed and the electronic lock clicking loudly. Kaito ran his hands through his hair as he felt like everyone had come crashing down around him. He was so focused on trying to get everyone out, he didn't think about the consequences. He didn't think that these people would hurt his family. He should've done. How could he have been so stupid? This shouldn't be happening. He wanted to be a normal kid. A kid that had good friends and no more problems with his anger. He didn't ask to have superpowers. He didn't ask to be here and to be "experimented on" like he wasn't a person anymore. He didn't ask to be forcefully separated from his family. He didn't ask for any of this!

Why did it have to come to this?!

Kaito remembered that not too long ago, he wanted to feel like a hero. However, right now, at this moment, he felt nothing like one. He feels useless. And he hates it.
