||The Aftermath||

(end of Alberts POV)

~What the actual fuck..~ you think to yourself still staring at them as your emotions overwhelm you. You couldn't stand looking at them anymore, you dropped his sweater and started to tear up as you speed walk down the stairway. You honestly didn't know what to do at that point, everything felt like a dream. Your eyes were blurry from your tears but you managed to get down the stairs safely. Your heart was racing a bit as you sit down on the last step trying to catch your breath and calm down, but as you think about it more you realized more and more that it wasn't a dream, this was real.

You hated crying in public, but nobody was around, so you took this opportunity to quietly cry while whipping your tears off with your shirt at the same time. There were so many thoughts going on in your head, you had so many questions. Was this his plan? To pretend to build a friendship with you just to break you down? Why would he lie to you like that? All you wanted to do was yell at him, but your sadness took over your anger. As you were trying to think and calm yourself down, you hear footsteps coming down the stairs. You quickly stand up and whip your tears thinking it was just a teacher as you start walking towards the entrance trying not to think about the kiss so you wouldn't start crying again.

You hear the footsteps stop on the floor you were at and were kind of confused, but then, "Y/n-" A familiar voice calls your name and you could hear the pain in their voice. You knew it was Albert, you couldn't stand hearing his voice, it made you tear again, ~how could I be so stupid, I should have never been his friend in the first place, he probably came to rub it in~ As you were thinking trying to drown out his voice you feel someone place there hand on your shoulder, you knew who it was, so you quickly turn around and knocked it off, "Don't fucking touch me, what do you want" He backs up a bit startled that you raised your voice, he could tell you were crying, "Y/n I know you don't want to talk to me but-" "You think?! Looks like I'm not the only dumb ass here" you cut him off as you start to walk off again. He pauses for a bit before saying, "What do you mean?"

You ignored him and walked out the entrance door where Jake and the group were. "Y/n are you ok?" Raven asks quietly noticing your tears you didn't know were falling down your face. You forgot that they were there, before you could whip your tears and explain you hear Albert again, "Y/n you have to listen to me can you let me explain.. please" "What is there to explain?! You tricked me and everyone else just to hurt my feelings, what the hell is wrong with you" you snap back as Jake and the others eyes widen in confusion, "Y/n what's going o-" "We can't be honest with each other can we.." you add ignoring Jakes question. "Apparently not," Albert says under his breath.

"What does that mean, we're supposed to be friends," you say annoyed. "Albert paused took a deep breath before saying, "Well, maybe we aren't friends, are we?" "Wh-" "Not really, I mean, we avoid each other we barely talk to each other" he cuts you off as your eyes widen, you didn't know what to say. "Well it's not my fault, I wanted to get rid of Kirsten months ago but you-" He cuts you off again, "Well maybe I don't want to pretend anymore ok? Maybe we should give it up" He snapped as he walks past you bumping into your shoulder a bit as you stand there frozen, out of everything, you didn't know he would say that.

You then look down at the floor as your eyes start getting watery again, "Y/n.. what just happened-" You hear Aija ask as she puts her hand on your shoulder. "Nothing I just-" your voice cracks as you try not to start having a breakdown, "I'm going home" you answer as you quickly walking away. You hear the group calling you but ignored them. ~First he betrays everyone, then he gives up on me, fine, it's not like I needed him anyways~ You whip your tears as you get into your car and drive home. The sky seemed even darker than before, almost like it was going to rain.

On your way home you start to calm down more so you wanted to turn on the radio, but all of your memories of you and Albert start flooding back when you hear Sofia come on the radio once more. Your eyes start getting watery again causing you to almost crash into the car in front of you at a red light, you quickly turn down the radio and whip your tears again glad that you pressed the breaks before anything bad happened, but now it was too quiet.

"Why would he tell me to go upstairs just to do that?! He's such an asshole why is Jake even friends with him.." you say to yourself angrily tapping your fingers on the steering wheel waiting for the light to turn green again.

"Or-" you pause to think about it, "Maybe it's.. my fault" The light finally turns green as you step on the gas again, "If I never gave him a chance none of this would of happened, I would of been happier, I can't even keep a friendship with someone for more than a few months, the others are probably just friends with me because they feel bad" As soon as you finish your sentence you get startled by the vibration of your phone in the passenger seat. Guessing it was probably Jake you ignored the call, of course, you didn't feel like talking to anyone at this point.

But the person kept calling, and wouldn't stop, you kept ignoring it until you finally got home and couldn't take it anymore. You got to your room and annoyingly turned your phone to see who it was, and you guessed right, it was Jake. "What Jake, what do you want." you annoyingly answer sitting on your bed trying not to cry again. "Uh.. Look I know you're probably in a bad mood, and I'm not sure why- but I just wanted to make sure you're ok" he answered quietly. You lay down on your bed and answer, "Yep, yea I'm fine, I'm fucking fantastic" "Oh.. well me and the others were kind of concerned because you and Albert were-" "Yea I know, we were fighting, I don't care about it anymore ok?" you cut him off even more annoyed than before. "Well, what was it about?"

"I told you it's nothing what else do you want from me"

"Well clearly it's something if your crying about it"

"I'm not crying about anything!" you answer as your voice cracks.

"Can you just tell me what it is so I can help you!" he snaps back.

You pause for a bit as you feel your throat closing up, "It's Kirsten."

"What do you mean?" he answers worriedly.

You take breaks in your sentence trying not to cry on the phone, "I was walking, upstairs, and I saw, them kissing"

"Are you serious?! Kirsten and.. Albert?"

You didn't answer him, you had no words at that point, you just wanted to disappear, everything was so confusing, the words he said to you kept ringing in your head, he gave up on you.

"I'm coming over" he then replied as you hear him get up from wherever he was sitting. "What do you mean," you say snapping back to reality. Before you could say anything else he adds, "I'll be there in 10" "But you can't I look a mess and I'm literally in the middle of losing my mind!" you answer since you thought he was joking at first. "I don't care! You better open the door when I text you" he answered sarcastically opening his front door. You were a going to refuse again but you could tell he was already on his way, you laughed a bit and replied, "Fine, ok" and hung up.

Your slight smile faded as your eyes landed on the flamingo plushie that was in the corner of your room, it was like it was mocking you with his words, ~"Maybe we aren't friends" "Maybe we should give up"~

"Yea Albert, maybe we should."
