||Tire Swing||

You look back to make sure nobody came in then looked down at the cement floor nervously. "Cmon ill catch you" Albert reassures you while holding his hands out. As you were about to jump you heard keys and a walkie-talkie from the hallway and a loud voice saying, "Is anyone in the bathroom?" ~Oh fuck- well there's no going back now~ you say in your head as you turn back to Albert ready to jump. You didn't really want to but the adrenaline rush from the counselor in the hallway made you do it. Albert catches you in a hug and puts you down as you quickly say, "We need to get out of here, a counselor is coming" Albert quickly looks up towards the window as you guys hear the footsteps coming from the bathroom. "Let's hurry and get to the parking lot gate," he says looking back at you. You nod as you guys run towards the gate. After a few seconds of running you guys eventually make it. Out of breath, you say, "I told you this was a bad idea" "At least we didn't get caught" Albert adds smiling out of breath as well. You try to regain your breath as you look around. You see cars pass by and the giant school on the side of you, it all felt unreal. Realizing what you just did you smile and say, "So what now" Albert regains his breath as well as he looks up and points to the direction behind you and says, "Let's walk this way" You agree as you both start walking side by side down the long crosswalk. "I can't believe I just did that," you say still in shock. "How does it feel?" Albert asks putting his hands in his pockets.

"Scary, really scary. But also kind of fun" you answer sarcastically. He laughs and says, "Yea I felt the same way when I first snuck out, after a while, you'll get used to it" "Yeah no I'm not doing this again," you say laughing. "I mean you never know," he says shrugging his shoulders. You think about what he said as you continue to walk. You look around the mostly empty area realizing more and more what's actually going on. It was a cloudy day which made the feeling even more surreal. You guys continue to walk for a bit when you eventually find a park. Nobody was there and it felt like a ghost town. "Do you wanna stop at this park?" you say stopping signaling him to look at it. Albert turns to look at the park then at you. "Really?" he laughs looking at you like you were childish. "What I just really like the swings," you say laughing trying to defending yourself. "Yeah sure," he says smiling walking towards the park as you follow.

You both put your backpacks down by a pole as you look around the park once again. Your eyes land on a tire swing, the tire was horizontal with metal chains holding it on the sides, you haven't been on one in years so you decided to hop on. "You really chose a tire swing instead of the other ones?" he laughs waking up to the swing holding the metal chain. "Wow you're judgmental today," you say sarcastically. "Hey I'm just asking," he says in the same tone. "Well yea, I haven't been on one in a while so," you say trying to push yourself. "Want me to push you?" Albert asks laughing at you. "Yeah that'd be nice of you," you say sarcastically as Albert sits in front of you on the swing and uses his legs to swing you guys. "Thanks, aretz," you say laughing holding onto the metal chain. "No problem idiot," he says laughing as well.

You guys end up laughing and talking a bunch as the tire swing keeps swinging. It was a really peaceful day and the wind flowing made it even more peaceful. Everything felt like a weird dream at this point. As you were looking off into the distance you felt something warm on your hand so you quickly looked back and saw Alberts hand on yours. You were surprised that he did that so you turn to him, but you see that he was looking off into the distance as well. Shortly after, he turns to you as you both look at you're hands on the chain. Albert quickly removed his hand and says, "Oh sorry I wasn't paying attention" He started turning red as you laugh a bit and say "Oh no it's fine" He laughs awkwardly scratching the back of his neck still turning red as he looks down at his legs.

Yea but like I kinda want him to put his hand there again

No, stop what are you talking about what's wrong with you!

Just tell him your hands are cold of something maybe he'll do it again

As you and your self conscious were fighting in your head, you were interrupted by Albert, "You ok?" "Hm? Oh, yea I'm fine" you say quickly snapping out of your thoughts laughing a bit. "Well we have about 16 minutes left," he says looking at his phone. "Wow really? Time goes by really fast" you say surprised a bit. "Yea, do you wanna get back to school now? I mean it did take us a while to get here so, better safe than sorry" he says slightly smiling. "Yea let's go," you say smiling back as you prepare to get off the swing. Albert nods as he stops the swing. Before he hops off he asks, "Mind if I give you a piggyback ride?" You hop off the swing as well as you answer, "Yea sure, plus my legs do hurt anyways soo" "From what? I did all the swinging" he answers sarcastically walking towards the backpacks. "I was kidding jeez," you say back laughing following him. "But you're going to have to carry both of the backpacks," Albert says handing both of them to you. "Both?!" you say looking at them. "Well duh," he says laughing. You look at Albert second-guessing your decision as you finally say, "Fine" You grab your backpack and put it on first then put his on second. "Woah this is actually pretty light," you say adjust the bags. "Yea I barely have anything in there since I put everything in my locker," he answers. "Alright hurry up we've only got a few minutes" he adds laughing as he turns around. You hop on his back as he lifts you up. "Am I heavy?" you ask kind of embarrassed. "Nope, you're quite light actually," he says as he starts walking. You were relieved with his response as you both headed towards the school laughing and talking all the way there.
