||The Letter Pt.2||

Another school day began and you all met at the entrance once more. You and you're friends were laughing and talking as Raven and Aija still interrogated you. You did figure out what they were talking about but pretend you didn't to annoy them. "Come on it's not that hard to understand what I'm saying!" Aija said annoyed. "I'm sorry but nothing even happened on Sunday." you replied trying to keep a straight face. "Yea I think they hit their head or something" Albert laughed trying to annoy them as well. "You know what, forget it, I'll figure it out one day" Aija sighed walking away from you guys. You and Albert laughed to yourself relieved she finally gave up. As you were about to go inside, you turned to see Aija and Jake talking with each other which made you really happy.

You decided you were going to be that one person who always annoyed their friend when they're near their crush, so you go up to them and say sarcastically, "Heyy guysss" "What do you want now secret keeper" Aija said jokingly. You saw Jake looking away from you, it was probably because he knew what you were doing, "Soo Jake, what are you guys talking about?" "Stop being annoying" Jake replied laughing. You could tell he still didn't give the letter to her, so you wanted to give him an opportunity, "Ok ok sorry. Just wanted to let you know there's a letter due for class today. It's a really important letter that could be life changing... Did I mention there's supposed to be a letter due today? Sorry I just really love letters ya know?"

"Wait what letter?" Aija asked confused. Before you could say something else, the bell for homeroom rang. "You're so dumb sometimes, "Jake said under his breath laughing before walking away. "What are you guys talking about?! Don't tell me I forgot the homework!" she said anxiously. You wondered why he didn't just give her the letter already, but didn't want to beg him. "Never mind- there's nothing due today," you say laughing hoping she'd take it as a joke. She lets out a sigh of relief before replying, "Thank god, you need to stop scaring me jeeze! See you at lunch-" "Alright see ya" you replied laughing. You thought it was cute how they both said 'jeeze' now, she even started talking like him, they're perfect for each other!

You began to walk inside as Albert walked up to you, "Oh, by the way, don't forget to tell Jake, I don't think she told him yet" "Why do I keep forgetting!" you say remembering it was a perfect time for you to tell him. "Because you don't have enough space in your peanut sized brain" he replied laughing at you. "Says you, every time we read in class you start stuttering," you said sarcastically. "Well that's not my fault!" he laughed. "Whatever you say- but anyways I'll tell him after school," you say laughing to yourself before you guys say you're goodbyes.

But little did you know, it wasn't going to go as you expected at all.

*time skip*

It was a couple seconds until your last class was over and everyone was packing up as usual. As the bell rang everyone excited the classroom. You got to your locker to take some things out, you're friends said they'll wait for you at the doorway as you agreed. You opened your locker and unzipped your backpack to put a book back in your locker since you didn't need it anymore, when you feel a tap on your shoulder. You turn to see Jake standing behind you with a worried look on his face, "Oh hey, I thought you went with everyone else in the front" you say confused closing your locker. "Yea... it's because I needed to talk to you about something-" he said scratching the back of his neck. He looked just like the day you found out about the letter, when you realized he had it in his hand. "Are you going to give it to her today?!" you ask excitingly. "Well, it's about the letter," he said looking down at it.

You thought he just wanted you to help him hand it to her, then you remembered what you were supposed to tell him, "Wait wait I know it's important but I needed to tell you something before I forget again" "Oh sure, what is it?" he said laughing. "So apparently Aija worked something out and she was going to prom with you and Jayden, so, Albert asked me to prom!" you say happily. You saw him clench the paper in his hand, and the color from his face faded, but he kept his smile, "Oh really, that's amazing.."

"But anyway about the letter, you should give it to her, she's outside right now," you say smiling to hide your confusion. "Yea, I'll go do that. I hope you have fun at prom," he said as his smile faded before walking away. You watched him as your smile faded as well, but you were excited to see him give the letter to her, so you stood there, waiting for it to happen. But as he got closer to the exit, he crumpled the paper and threw it in the trash as he wiped his face, walking past all your friends. ~Whatd he do that for?~ You stood there for a couple seconds confused, until you walked over to the trash can. You take out the piece of paper as you read it word for word,

[Hey y/n, I know this is kinda weird and sudden but I had to get it out of my system. We've been best friends for a long time, and we've been through so much together. It's been a while but I've come to the conclusion, I love you. I know love is a strong word but it's not just you, you're smile, you're laugh, I love when we talk about stupid stuff together, even the times we spent together at our secret spot when we were younger, I love everything about you. Even if you can be annoying sometimes LOL

I know this is cheesy or whatever but it's the truth, I don't know if you feel the same but, I wanted to ask you if maybe we could go to prom together :)]

~Wait.. what-?~

The letter, it wasn't for Aija at all.

It was for you.

You felt all sorts of feelings that made your stomach hurt as you read it over and over which made you feel even worse. You looked up to see if Jake was still there, but he was gone, just an empty hall way. The letters in the paper started to get blurry as the water formed in your eyes. You didn't know why you were crying, but you couldn't stop..

The only thing you could think about were words that kept ringing in your head,
