||The Plan||

Everyone looked around the giant arcade trying to pick which game they wanted to try first when Raven asks, "You guys wanna do an arcade challenge?" "What's that?" Jayden asks confused. "It's something me and Kaden used to do when we were kids" she answers turning to Kaden. "Ohh rightt, basically whoever gets the most tickets in the next hour wins, and the other person has to give the rest of their tickets to them," Kaden says excitingly. "Alright, I'm up for the challenge," Jayden says confidently. "Once the 1 hour is up, meet back by the ticket counters," Raven says pointing to the machines. You all nod your heads in agreement as Raven takes out her phone and counts down, "3, 2, 1, go!" You rush to the giant game room and pick a game quickly.

Since you wanted to get as many tickets as possible, you just chose the game closest to you, which was the basketball game. To make a point you'd have to shoot the ball in the basket, obviously. You got a token from your pocket and place it in the machine and start to play.

You were doing good until you notice another ball knock yours which blocked your shot. You turn quickly to see who threw the ball and weren't surprised to see Albert playing the same game next to you laughing to himself. "Hey that's cheating!" you say continuing to try to throw basketballs. "It's not really cheating if nobody saw it," he says shooting basketballs as well. "Well, I saw it," you say kind of annoyed that he was distracting you. "Exactly, nobody saw" he answers sarcastically. You quickly realized what he meant and laughed a bit at the joke planning your revenge. You threw your basketball at his hoop just like he did to you and you made his ball miss the basket. He didn't say anything, he just laughed it off.

You decided to do something else to try to get a response, you were kind of competitive. So you took the ball he was about the throw and shot it in your own basket, luckily oh made it before the buzzer went off. "Ok that was just uncalled for," he says sarcastically looking at you. "You gotta do what you gotta do, plus, it's not cheating if nobody saw," you say sarcastically getting the tickets that came from the machine. "Good luck aretz," you say walking away from the game going to find another one. "Thanks," he says in the same tone still shooting basketballs. You laugh a bit to yourself choosing the next game and putting another coin in.

*time skip*

The hour has finally ended and you were proudly confident that you would have the most tickets. You start heading towards the ticket counters as everyone else does too. "Alright, let's count the tickets," Kaden says with his arms filled with tickets going to a counter. Everyone agrees and goes to their own machine as they place their tickets in. You turn to Albert and it looked like he had about the same amount of tickets as you did, but you weren't worried about it, you were confident you would win.

Mostly everyone's machines stopped counting before yours, which was a good sign. You saw them disappointed as you and Albert were the only two people left. "Alright everyone you already know who the winner is, hand over your tickets," you say confidently holding out your hands as you and Alberts counters finally stops. "Don't be too confident, the counter decides" Aija says kind of annoyed. You laughed a bit as you readout, "Four thousand three hundred sixty-two! "What about you?" you ask turning to Albert. "Four thousand three hundred sixty-four," he answers smirking. Your smile slightly fades as you say, "You're joking, right?" "I told you I'd beat you," he says laughing a bit taking his ticket receipt out. You didn't believe him at first so you went over to look at his receipt and there it was, 4,364 printed in bold letters. "But- I literally-What the fuck-" You say shocked looking at your receipt. "Better luck next time y/n" you hear Jake say from a distance. "Shut up I was only 2 away," you say annoyed, "Whatever, let's go get some pizza or something" you add walking away. "Ooo someone's salty," Aija says laughing a bit. "I'm not salty I'm just hungry, jeez!"

But you were, you didn't want to show it though. Everyone brushed it off as they handed their receipts to Albert. You guys picked a table to sit at as you ask, "So what do you guys want? Pizza?" "Yes, pizza!" Aija says excitingly. "Alright, what kind?" "Pepperoni," Jake says smiling. "Oh me and Raven are actually vegan- so-" Kaden says kind of embarrassed. "Isn't pepperoni vegan?" Jake asks confused. "No jake, it's meat you idiot," Albert says laughing a bit. "Oh, right," Jake says realizing what he asked. "Alright so ill get one vegan pizza and one pepperoni," You say laughing a bit a Jake. "Uh- can I go with you?" Raven asks anxiously. "Oh, yeah sure," you say kind of confused. You could tell she looked like she wanted to tell you something, so you just went along with it.

"Alright we'll be right back," You say getting your wallet from your backpack. You and Raven walk off and start heading towards the small food place as she asks, "Can I tell you something?" "Yea of course" you answer kind of worried. "Ok so, you know how I told you I might have a crush on Kayden? Well, I do, and it's not a small crush, it's a big one" she says turning red. "Oh my god, what?! When are you going to tell him!" you ask excitedly. "I can't tell him! What if he doesn't feel the same then our friendship gets ruined" she says playing with her hair. "Well, you've both been friends for a long time, right? If you guys are real friends, it won't ruin the friendship if he doesn't like you back," you say trying to help. "Yea I guess your right, but how would I tell him?" she asks looking to the table then back at you. You think for a bit and you finally figure out a plan. "Ok so, what if after we eat, we all go back to playing games and you can tell him then! I'll hide behind one of the machines or something, so you won't be alone." You could see Raven think about the plan for a bit as she finally says, "Yeah I guess that could work... Let's do it" "Alright!" you say excitingly walking up to the counter. You order both the pizzas, pay, then walk back to the table.

"The pizzas here!" you say smiling placing it on the table. "Finally I was starving," Aija says sarcastically. "Calm down I didn't even take that long," you say laughing a bit as you sit down. You open up the pizza box and everyone gets a slice. "Hey y/n can you pass me a napkin?" Albert says from across the table. You were still kind of annoyed about the ticket situation, so you have him the death stare and took another bite out of your pizza ignoring him. "..Alrighty then, I'll just- get it myself," he says kind of scared reaching across the table. Everyone continues to eat their pizza and finishes it in a few minutes. "Alright, are you guys ready to get back to playing?" Jake asks throwing the boxes away. "Yep, can't wait to win the tickets that I unfairly lost," you say sarcastically giving Albert a death stare again. "You lost fair and square idiot," Albert says sarcastically smirking. You didn't want to start anything so you just sat there in silence when Kaden says, "Alright alright let's just go" You all get up and start heading towards the game area once again. Everyone starts going their separate ways as you and Raven walk together. "Are you ready?" you ask Raven happily. "I'm ready" Raven says kind of worried.
