ariana's pov

"but before that, let's get some drinks shall we?" dalton leads me to the private kitchen, taking two random bottles from the counter and handing them to me.

"are we allowed to take these?"

he shrugs. "maybe?"

i look at him with uncertainty.

"ariana don't worry, if a raging, high, hannah montana comes running towards us i promise to not use you as a human shield" dalton jokes.

"aww you're such a gentleman," i say sarcastically.

we walk to the back of the house, going outside.

"outside? this place must be extra special then"

"i guess you could say that" he replies, smiling.

"oh shit i don't have my shoes" i groan, remembering i left them back in the room. "i guess we have to-"

before finishing my sentence, dalton suddenly throws me over his shoulder.

"no shoes no problem,"

"dalton oh my god!" i gasp. "what if people see my ass?"

"then their eyes will be blessed!" he remarks, making me blush. this man is gonna be the end of me i swear to god.

eventually, dalton places me down on a lounge chair, his body hovering over mine, just for a moment. a part of me wished we could've stayed like that longer.

dalton's pov

"well, this is the place" i say, starting to pour us drinks.

"wow dalton..." ariana looks around in awe. "this is nice, almost like a first date huh?" she nudges me with her elbow.

i wish.

"yeah almost..." i let out a small chuckle.

"so how do you know miley?"

"we met in 2017 through mutual friends from the real estate agency i work at" i continue. "actually, im the one who helped her buy this house"

"a realtor? never would've guessed that"

"my little sister tori says i should've chosen a job more hardcore"

"in my opinion there's nothing more hardcore than selling houses," she smiles.

"i don't know... i mean you're a pop star and all, that's gotta be 100% more hardcore"

"if we're being honest it's not all that great..."
