This song came onto the radio last night, at about 1, and my sleep deprived brain went: HEY! I HAVE A BRIGHT IDEA! LETS WRITE A ONESHOT! and so there I was, at 1 fucking AM, planning this oneshot for when I could type it up. Please forgive any errors, I havn't slept in 31-ish hours, and the last time I slept, (31-ish hours ago) I got 1 hour of sleep. I'm not fucking alive anymore. And I might very well pass out. . . .
ANYWAYS, enough about me, lets get on with it!

This takes place after Hawkmoths defeat. . . it's sad, be warned.
Adrien, Luka, Alya, Nino, and Chloe were at a bar, drinking the night away, when Luka started to sing.

They had done it. They had finally defeated Hawkmoth and Mayura. They had been able to do it all, thanks to Mari, who wasn't there for them anymore. And while the drinks did help sometimes, the drinks brought back memories of everything, school, Lila, Akuma villians, Hawkmoth, Mari, everything that had happened.
"Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way

And the memories bring back, memories bring back you"
They had lost Mari along the way, she had sacrificed her life, for all of Paris. For the world, for them. The drinks brought back the feel of her hug, the sound of her laugh, the brilliance of her smile, the drinks brought back memories, and the memoires were all that's left of their precious Marinette.

When I believed in forever, and everything would stay the same

Adrien joined in softly, thinking of his beloved lady, and thinking of a time, when he was a child, where pain was a foreign concept, when he believed in forever. His mother died, and his father turned cold, yet somehow, he managed to hold on to his belief in forever. Now, at the barest mention of his lady, he wants to fall apart, he wants to go back, he wants to sob for hours. He knows it hurts, but he knows everybody hurts. He knows he'll be alright, if not for himself, for hi lady.

Alya, Chloe, and Nino join in, singling with them, holding tight to the memories.

Chloe remembered how Marinette had given her a second chance, after she'd foolishly let her hate for her parents fighting, and her fear for losing her mother again take over her, the hatred and the fear was to powerful, she had been so foolish accepting Hawkmoths word at face value. Chloe would live on forever carrying the light that Marinette had helped re-kindle. Chloe would become the person, the kind caring, the loving person she wanted to be, the person Marinette saw in her.
