(A/N): The suspense from last chapter's cliffhanger will finally be payed off. I hope you guys like this idea, because I think it adds a lot of interesting stuff to the lore of this fic.
(Y/N) POV
Ozpin stared at me in contemplation as I awaited his answer. As every second that he didn't answer passed, I grew a little more frustrated. Finally, he sighed and began his explanation.
Ozpin: As of now, you know everything I know about Salem. After that, you probably suspected that all of my important secrets had been revealed to you all.
Blake: I never suspected that for a second.
Ozpin: However... there was one secret that I kept from everyone... not even the headmasters know about this. Everyone who could have known has long since passed on. It's a secret that I am most ashamed of over all others.
(Y/N): And this secret is?
Ozpin hesitated before continuing.
Ozpin: I knew of the Force before you arrived on Remnant.
My eyes widened in utter shock. I had no idea how to feel. My gut instinct was tellin me to be upset, but I couldn't even manage that.
(Y/N): Wh- What?
Ozpin: I think it's time that I told you... but if you can, please, tell this to nobody else.
(Y/N): Oz... you better start explaining yourself.
3rd. Person POV
Flashback
Ozpin narration: As you have seen time and time again, the Force had not been wiped from the face of the galaxy. It still existed, repressed, in some lucky individuals. As a result, my reincarnation causing me to enter a Force Sensitive body wasn't a matter of "if", but rather "when".
(Y/N) narration: You were Force Sensitive in a past life? What is so shameful about that?
Ozpin narration: That isn't the part that I am ashamed of.
A tanned man is shown working in a dust mine, sweat dripping from his forehead. Suddenly, an explosion could be heard and the miners began frantically running towards the cave entrance.
Ozpin narration: Of course I didn't know it immediately. However, what seemed like just another life would turn out to be one of the most eventful...
Once the man and the other miners exited the mine, they were met with a battlefield. Soldiers from both sides were falling left and right. Explosions momentarily lit up the night sky. The man couldn't move from the shock of it all, but he was quickly broken out of his trance by the sound of sizzling behind him. He turned around to see a pair of Mantle soldiers dead on the ground. Standing before their corpses was a cloaked woman wielding a weapon appearing to have a blade made of pure red light. It perplexed him in more ways than one. Not only did her weapon make no sense, but her skin appeared to be green in coloration.
Ozpin narration: But also one of the shortest...
The woman kicked the man to the ground and pointed the weapon to his throat. The man begged for mercy, but the woman did not listen. She readied her weapon to strike him, but suddenly stopped, as if she sensed something within him.
Ozpin narration: On a whim, or at least that was what I assumed at the time, my life was spared by a mysterious woman who seemed to have full intent to end my life. She wielded a weapon which I later learned was called a lightsaber.
(Y/N) narration: She was-
Ozpin narration: Darth Chorus, Remnant's first Dark Lord of the Sith.
(Y/N) narration: She spared you... because you're Force Sensitive? You were a Sith in a past life?
Ozpin narration: Though I hate to admit it... you are correct.
The scene changed to several months later. Darth Chorus and her new apprentice could be seen training with their lightsabers. Their red blades clashed time and time again as the two sparred.
Ozpin narration: The more I learned about the Force, I began to get an idea. What if this were the way? What if learning to harness this power was the true way to defeat Salem for good? I needed to learn more, if only to be given a sliver of hope.
Darth Chorus: Henceforth, you shall be known as... Darth Ozostima.
Darth Ozostima: Thank you, my master.
Ozpin narration: I knew little to nothing of the Jedi, as did my own master. The most that we knew is that they were a light side order that had long since gone extinct. I had no way of knowing that they could ever return. I figured that harnessing my hatred was the only way to possibly stand a chance at defeating Salem.
(Y/N) narration: What happened then? What went wrong?
Ozpin narration: Everything went wrong... everything...
The scene changed to a moment a year later. Chorus and Ozostima began clashing their blades once again. But this time, it was not training. These two had full intent to kill each other. Ozostima had ample combat experience from his many lives, but he was nowhere near on the level of Chorus when it came to knowledge of the Force. With this advantage, Darth Chorus was able to land a critical blow, severing Darth Ozostima's arm. He screamed in agony as he fell to his knees. Darth Chorus then held her blade to his neck.
Darth Chorus: Maybe in the next life, you'll avoid such mistakes.
Darth Ozostima: Master... we need... to do this... We need to stop Salem!
Darth Chorus: I care not for the matters of immortal weaklings such as yourself... such as Salem...
With that, the Sith Lord decapitated her immortal apprentice.
Ozpin narration: When I was reincarnated, my connection to the Force was no more, and I was back to square one.
Flashback ends
(Y/N) POV
Ozpin: As I said, my life as Darth Ozostima was one of my greatest regrets... and I apologize for anything you may see as unforgivable about this story.
Nora: And... this is all true?
Ozpin: Unfortunately... yes...
(Y/N): The body you inhabit, Oscar's body, is not Force Sensitive. I have made sure of that several times. I also believe that the body of Professor Ozpin, whoever he may have been before you took over, wasn't either. Are you sure that this is the only Force Sensitive body you have held?
Ozpin: Yes... I have not felt any kind of presence since that life, no matter how hard I tried. Eventually, I simply gave up. I wanted to forget that this event had ever happened. I had nearly succeeded. However, my memories of the Force had returned to me when a certain Jedi came to our world from far in the past.
(Y/N): I-
Suddenly, I was cut off by the voice of Commander Brush.
Brush: General (L/N).
I turned around to face him.
(Y/N): Commander Brush?
Brush: General Astra sent me to come get you. The three of us need to discuss something.
(Y/N): Okay, I'll be right there.
I turned back to the rest of them.
(Y/N): Looks like this conversation will have to wait.
We arrived into a tent and saw Sara staring at a computer screen with a smirk on her face.
(Y/N): Sara, what's going on?
Sariel: Well, Perp.
She turned her head to me, her smirk becoming even more confident.
Sariel: I think I just found our opening.
