(Y/N) POV

Port: Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for: The One on One Finals!

The crowd was in an uproar of cheers. This was the final portion of the tournament, the one that would decide the winner of the Vytal tournament.

Port: Barty, why don't you explain the rules?

Oobleck: Instead of a bracket system, each round matching will be determined randomly immediately before the match takes place.

Port: Just like any good hunt, there will be zero time to prepare.

Oobleck: Ah, yes, yes, now let's see who our first match will be.

The images spun and spun and spun. Until the first one stopped, revealing Mercury Black. The second image stopped, revealing... me!

Port: (Y/N) (L/N) and Mercury Black!

Mercury POV

What? How did this happen? Cinder told me that I would go against Yang Xiao Long. Not the guy that scared her shitless.

Cinder POV

What? This was not supposed to happen! Emerald best pull through, because one more slip up and there is no going back.

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N) in head: Looks like I got to fight that Mercury guy. Oh well.

All of the other singles contestants left the fighting grounds to prepare for the match. I got into my position, using my 'Semblance' to pull my hatchets from my belt into my hands.

(Y/N): You better not go easy on me.

Mercury: Ha, you wish!

Port: Three... Two... One... FIGHT!

I went for a strike with one of my hatchets, Mercury intercepted it with a kick. He pushed me back and he sent a flurry of kicks my way. I used my hatchets to block the incoming attacks with ease. I then used the Force to jump high in the air and threw one of my hatchets at him from directly above. Surprisingly, he caught it, but it quickly left his hands as I pulled it back to me. This continued for a while, I threw my hatchets at him, he either catches or blocks them, and I pull them back with the force. I try to knock him off of the platform, but he uses the weapons on his boots to propel himself back on. He then uses a flurry of shots that circle around and all converge on me. I didn't have a choice. I had to use the Force. As the shots all converged on me, he turned around in an apparent sense of victory. However, it was short lived as he did not hear an impact. He turned around to see me using the force to hold all of the shots in place around me. I then smirked at him and sent them back his way. They all impacted at once.

(Y/N): Better luck next time, Mercury!

Mercury: There isn't going to be a next time!

He then jumped at me to send a kick my way. I was about to draw my lightsaber, but something felt off about it, there was something... unreal about it. I decided to sidestep in an effort to dodge the attack. As Mercury passed me, he disappeared. I looked to see he was still on the ground where his Aura got depleted. I knew there was something off.
