The Oncoming Crisis

Ruby POV

I was knocked down and I couldn't see. I could hear the frantic cries of people all around me. I then heard Penny yelling.

Penny: Put down your weapon and surrender!

3rd. Person POV

Robyn: Huntresses! To me!

Fiona: Come on, we've gotta get you out of here.

All of the sudden, Tyrian charged at the two of them, activating his semblance. Fiona's aura was disrupted, allowing Tyrian to take a few slashes at her. He then jumped over Robyn, landing behind her. Penny quickly noticed this.

Penny: Robyn!

Penny then tackled Robyn in order to keep her out of the way of any attack, but an attack never came. Instead, Tyrian quickly jumped out of sight, leaving Penny there with her swords at the ready. It was at that moment that the lights came back on, and Penny was the right in the center of it all.

Newscaster: And the winner of the Atlas Council Election is... Jacques Schnee!

The people in the crowd were horrified by the scene that was all around them.

Man: It's Ironwood's robot!

Robyn: Penny...

Penny put her weapons away.

Penny: I- I didn't!

Ruby went to check Fiona's wounds and Robyn got even angrier, pointing her weapon at Penny.

Nora: What happened?

Ruby: It was Tyrian! Tyrian's here!

Just then, all of the guards charged towards the stage. One of them, who wielded a crossbow, fired an arrow at Penny. Ruby and Penny were shocked, but even more so when the arrow didn't land. It stayed mere inches from Penny's face, floating in mid-air. They looked towards the doorway to see Saeris and the rest of Team ASSH standing in the front doorway.

Saeris: Looks like the party's already been crashed.

He clenched his fist, causing the arrow to crumble to pieces. Just then, Marrow activated his semblance, freezing the guards in place.

Marrow: Get Penny out the back, now!

Darth Saeris POV

As Ruby and Marrow followed Penny and the two other Jedi out the back. I turned back to the team.

Saeris: Can you guys handle this? I need to have a chat with someone out back.

Sapphire nodded and I made my way to the back.

Ruby POV

Marrow: Penny, you need to get to Atlas. Backup's on the way.

Penny didn't respond.

Marrow: Penny?

Penny looked back at him for a moment before taking off away from us. As she flew out of sight, we heard a voice from behind us.

Saeris: I apologize that I couldn't make it sooner.

Marrow grabbed his gun and pointed it at Saeris.

Marrow: Freeze!

Saeris looked at Marrow with disinterest.

Saeris: Do you really want to play this game?

Ruby: Marrow, he's not here to fight.

Marrow: It doesn't matter, he's still a wanted criminal. He's working for Strahl!

Saeris: Today, I do not act on behalf of my master. I cannot say the same about you, military pig.

Marrow: Why you little-

Sariel: Both of you shut up! We have more important matters! Salem's forces are in Mantle. We have confirmation that Atlas is her next target!

Saeris: I know. I came to you requesting to speak with General Ironwood.

Marrow: Yeah, fat chance in that ever happening!

Saeris: I do not seek to destroy you as my master does. As much as it would please me, my primary target is Salem and her followers. I can assure you that if I meet with the General, no harm will come to him, and you will be provided with valuable aid and information.

Marrow: I'm gonna have to pass.

Ruby: He's helped us in the past. I think he's trying to help us again. I can't say that I entirely trust him, but I am saying that I'm willing to take his word.

Sariel: As much as I hate to admit it, Darth Saeris is probably telling the truth... and it'd be best if we gave him what he wants.

Marrow: You guys realize how ridiculous this is right? We can't just-

Saeris: If you don't want to take me up there willingly...

Saeris then held his hands out.

Saeris: Then arrest me. Maybe then you will at least feel comfortable knowing you have temporarily restrained a being who can kill you without even thinking about it.

Marrow grunted in frustration and got ready to cuff the Sith, when sirens blared throughout the city.

Ruby: Grimm...

Saeris: You might want to hold the cuffs for now.

Marrow sighed.

Marrow: We've got a long night ahead.

Meanwhile in the Kyber Cave

3rd. Person POV

Multiple droids were running down the tunnels toward one of the metal rooms. Suddenly, ZK-RY's voice came through a speaker in said room.

ZK-RY: The Black Cloud approaches. Prepare to defend the site. Specialized unit section M-13 are to initiate extraction procedures. Repeat. The Black Cloud approaches. Prepare to defend the site. Specialized unit section M-13 are to initiate extraction procedures.

The lights in the chamber came on as the hiss of releasing air could be heard beyond the slightly ajar door.
