Dark Figures: Part 1

(Y/N) narration: Previously on Remnant's Jedi Order

(Y/N): Something bad is gonna happen, and I want to figure out what it is so we can put a stop to it!

Blakblaz and Vega: We are your sworn defenders!

Yang: Ladies and Gentlemen, we have arrived at Argus.

Ruby: Hey... I promised, didn't I?

(Y/N): Yeah... sure did... It's good to see you all again.

(Y/N): His name is Rainier Volga.

(Y/N): He and his goons know about the Jedi and are very much against us.

Weiss: This guy sounds dangerous. We should stop him.

After about an hour of planning, we decided to split up into groups to cover the most ground. I went with Blake and we investigated some areas just outside of the city to see if there were any potential secret routes in and out of the city for Volga and his thugs to take. As we continued to go about our route, we came across a radar tower with strange markings on it.

(Y/N): What's that?

Blake: It looks like Atlas tech, but something isn't right. It looks abandoned. And those markings, I've seen them before... I just can't remember where.

A memory suddenly popped back into my mind and I pointed to one of the markings.

(Y/N): Wait, wait, wait! That one right there! That marking was tattooed on Volga's neck. This has got to be their doing!

Blake: Okay, I'll check this out, you go on ahead.

(Y/N): Are you sure? I mean, we shouldn't be splitting up any more than we already have.

Blake: It'll only take a minute. I'll catch back up.

I shrugged and let her do her thing. She climbed up the first ladder and I made my way along our original path.

Blake POV

As I inspected the different platforms of the radar tower, I found everything that you would expect to find on a normal radar tower. Power supply gauges, control panels to regulate the frequency, and everything else you'd expect. As I made it to the top platform, my heart sank. I saw a dead body. The man wore a red hoodie and still had a switchblade in his hand, presumably from when he tried to defend himself from his attacker. As I got a few steps closer, I saw the cause of his death. A charred hole straight through his chest. I could still see a tiny string of smoke coming from it. I frantically radioed to (Y/N).

Blake: (Y/N), we have a problem!

(Y/N) on the radio: Blake? What is it?

Before I could respond, the radio was shot out of my hands. I turned to the source of the shot. When I saw him, my face went white. It was Adam, holding his gun, and smirking at me.

Adam: Well, that wasn't too long of a wait.

(Y/N) POV

(Y/N): Blake? Blake come in! Dammit!

I quickly turned around and ran at full speed towards the radio tower.

Yang POV

I walked down the sidewalk with Vega, looking for any suspicious activity. Vega dressed in normal civilian clothes instead of his robes and helmet. As we went on our search, we began to talk.

Yang: What are you thinking?

Vega: What?

Yang: About these thugs. If you were them, where would you go to group up.

Vega rubbed his chin for a moment before responding.

Vega: Well, I definitely wouldn't be on the main roads. I'd probably try to keep out of sight of the authorities. So, probably in a back alley or something?

Yang: Worth a shot. Let's go back here.

I pointed to an entrance to an alley right in front of us.

Vega: Let's go.

We walked into the alley. As we got further from the street, I began to get more and more unsettled.

Vega: You alright?

Yang: Yeah, this alley just kind of gives me the creeps.

Vega: I wasn't going to say anything but, yeah...

We kept our head on a swivel as we kept moving on. Suddenly, I saw a tiny glowing dot in the distant darkness. I squinted and moved forward to get a better look. As I got a better look at it, I saw that the dot was actually two dots. My heart dropped as I saw the two orange dots begin to sway as Darth Saeris stepped into the light. I jumped back and grabbed my lightsaber. Before I could ignite it, Vega caught my attention.

Vega: Yang! What's going on?

I turned back to the end of the alley and Saeris was nowhere to be seen. I sighed and kept my arm from trembling. 

Blake POV

As I dodged one of Adam's shots, I looked down to see him on the platform below me.

Adam: It's nice to finally have time to ourselves, don't you think?

Blake: Leave me alone!

I grabbed my gun and fired two shots at him. He effortlessly got out of the way of my shots.

Adam: But I've waited... so long... for you to be away from them... for you to be away from him.

I quickly ran towards one of the support wires and began using it to rappel down, but Adam shot it, causing it to break. I fell onto the platform that he was on and I heard him ignite his lightsaber. I ignited mine just in time to block his strike. He tried to strike me again and again, but I blocked him. Eventually, I used an opening to kick him in the gut.

Adam: Why did you have to come into my life and ruin everything?

Blake: You stalked me across Anima! I don't want anything to do with your life!

He went to strike me again, but I dodged it and used the force to leap onto the top platform. He quickly found his way up there too. I went on the offensive, striking at him a few times. He blocked my attacks and we ended up in a lock. I broke the lock, causing both of us to lose our balance. Before I knew it, he held me by the throat and leaned me over the edge. I kicked him, causing us both to fall down. Our aura, combined with hitting some branches, caused us to be fine from the fall. We both slowly got up.

Blake: Let go of the past, Adam... do it for yourself.

Adam: Just forget it all? Is that what you did to me? You just threw our memories away?

Blake: Adam!

Adam: I let you go once already, Blake... I'm never making that mistake again...

We both readied our stances and got ready to fight once again.

Ruby: Now, who are you?

Volga: My name is Rainier Volga.

Adam: You're a coward!

Blake: You're delusional!

Adam: So tell me, Blake... How does it feel to be all alone?
