So Many Rules

 "I'll be back okay." I gave him the okay sign with my left hand. Andrew's been gone for a god 5-7 minutes. Right as I was about to get up, the nurse and him came strolling through the door. Andrew is all smiles. I'm assuming it's good news so I smile too. "Alright, since your boyfriend is a surgeon here and he's your boyfriend that lives with you...I'm allowing you to go home in a few hours." I squealed with excitement. "I will print out a document for you and Andrew to follow. I will list some of the things you're not allowed to do: no running, no hardcore workouts, no lifting heavy things. Those are only a few of the things. If I find out you're doing things you're not supposed to, it's right back to the hospital. Got it?" "Yes ma'am!" I say with excitement. "Got it!" Andrew said, winking at me. After a few hours pass I'm discharged from the hospital. "When you get in the car can you read me things you're not allowed to do?" I nod my head yes, then realize he's looking at some birds fighting in a tree. "Yes." "Okay thanks!" He gets me all settled in the back seat of the car. "Here's the list." Andrew says as he hands it to me. He hops in the front seat of the car and starts the engine. "Ok, so I'm not allowed to drink, eat spicy things...What the hell! Spicy foods are my life! Whatever. No hardcore workouts, no over working myself, don't drink more than 9 cups of water, and no lifting heavy things, and no running!" Wow I can't believe I can't eat the limited edition spicy nuggets at Burger King! Whatever, I'll live. "We're allowed to have sex?" Andrew blurts out. "Looks like it. And I'm not against it either." Andrew gives me an annoyed look. "I'm not either, it's just-what if-what if I hurt you?" Awww how sweet! "You won't hurt me. We literally just did in the hospital several hours ago!" "That's true. Fine, but I'm waiting two days to be sure and I'm going to read that list when we get home." "Sounds good with me!" I said very cheery. Andrew smiled at me. "What?" I ask gently. "Nothing, it's just I can't believe you get to come home!" He says as he puts his hand on my left thigh. We pull into the driveway. I never knew how big our house was until now. "We forgot to leave to nightlight in, in the kitchen. Now the whole house is pitch black!" Andrew gave me a smile with a side glare. "You scared of the dark, Cruse?" He says jokingly. "I'm not scared thank you very much Andrew!" I say as I open the door.
