{ Kemper }

It's our last day in Australia and since being here, I've been completely spoiled. We're doing everything.

I was particularly excited about today. First I was getting pampered with going to my nails and hair done, then I was going to the zoo to hold a koala. I had asked to go hold the koalas every day since we got here. Dad promised we would and he never breaks promises.

Grandma got me up early so we could go to the salon. I got dressed quickly then popped into my dad's room, finding him awake and on his phone.

"Hi princess" he smiled, sitting up,

"Me and Grandma are leaving," I told him. He nodded and stood, grabbing his wallet from his bag,

"Use this to pay" he handed me his card, "Steal Grandma's card if you have to so she doesn't pay"

"Thanks Dad" I grinned and hugged him,

"Of course" he kissed my head, "Remember you have rules for school with hair. Don't dye any crazy colors and no crazy long nails"

"I'm not gonna dye it" I laughed, "And I don't really want the nails that long anyway"

"Okay" he smiled, "Go have fun. I'll see you in a little bit"

We pulled up to the salon and went inside. Dad's always taken me to get my hair trimmed but I've never gotten my nails done before.

I was guided to a seat and the gown was placed around me,

"What are we doing with the hair today?" The lady asked, making me look at my grandma,

"Just a little trim" she answered for me. The lady nodded and got to work.

As soon as my hair was done, I sat at a table to get my nails done. Grandma sat right next to me, getting hers done as well,

"You know I really wish you and your father could stay longer" Grandma sighed,

"I know. Me too" I sighed, "You could come to LA" I proposed,

"I will be. I know for certain at Christmas" she winked. My smile grew bigger,

"We're all coming to LA for Christmas this year," she told me,

"I can't wait"

I was patiently waiting for my mum to come back with Kemper. I know Kemper's enjoying the time with her grandma but I was dying to take her to the zoo to hold the koalas. She's literally asked to do that since she was little and I told her she could.

As soon as she walked in the door, I had her back in the car and on the way to the zoo. She was all smiles,

"You excited?" I laughed,

"Oh yeah!" She bounced, "We can still see the other animals too right?"

"Yeah. The koalas are the last ones anyway" I informed her.

I paid for our zoo entry and we started walking. We stopped at the elephants, because that's one of Kemper's favorite animals, before moving on to the lions.

I loved watching Kemper so happy. Even at 14, almost 15, she was having a blast. She's a giant kid at heart.

I was standing back as Kemper leaned against the fence by the lions. She had a content smile on her face watching two cubs play,

"Reminds me of Logan and Hunter" she looked back at me, "They always wrestle"

I couldn't help but laugh. It was true though. Ever since those boys could walk, they were wrestling. At one point, they weren't allowed to be near each other because they tried to WWE Smackdown each other,

"Can we please go to the koalas now?" Kemper walked towards me,

"Let's go" I laughed and motioned her forward.

I've never seen Kemper walk so fast. When we got to the entrance, I paid the extra fee and we went in.

"I'm overwhelmed" she gasped as she saw the koalas. I laughed and guided her to the worker,

"Wanna hold him?" The lady asked. Kemper nodded and held her arms out. The koala climbed into Kemper's arms and laid its head on her shoulder.

"Take my picture Dad!" She whispered-yelled. I quickly grabbed my phone and took a picture. She was so happy.

I think we were in there for at least 30 minutes. Kemper had to hold every one of them and then played with one. She was pretty sad when we had to leave.

"I think we should invest in a pet koala," she told me as we got in the car,

"I'll get right on that" I laughed

We got back to the house and started packing. We had to leave tonight. Once I finished my bag, I laid on the bed and went through Instagram, seeing Kemper's post first:

I smiled and locked my phone, watching Kemper stroll in the room and lay next to me,

"I don't think I'm ready to go home" she mumbled,

"Me too princess" I sighed,

"We should just pack all of Australia up and bring it with us"

"I know Kemps, but we've got to go back to normal life. But don't be too sad, everyone's coming for Christmas" I hugged her,

"That'll be the second best thing of the year"

"What was the first?"

"When you got full custody" she smiled,

"That was one of my best days too"
