"Hey baby girl. It's time to wake up" I spoke as I lightly shook my daughter awake. She groaned but slowly fluttered her eyes open,

"Morning" she mumbled then her arms were thrown around my neck,

"Good morning" I stifled a laugh, "I made pancakes"

"Chocolate chip?" Kemper asked,

"Well of course" I smiled. I felt her smile in my neck,

"Carry me?" She pouted. I laughed and pulled her out of bed. She locked her ankles behind me and I carried her into the kitchen before sitting her in her chair.

When Kemper finished, she went to change and I cleaned up breakfast.

Kemper came back, dressed, with her phone in her hand,

"I'm ready to see my cousins so let's go!" She spoke and walked out into the garage and got in the car. I had to laugh at her excitement. Her, Logan, Hunter, and Caleb have always been super close and it killed all of them when her mom moved her two hours away.

I got in the car and got us on the road as Kemper grabbed my phone, plugging it up,

"I got aux"

I parked at the sports complex and guided Kemper to the soccer fields. She saw Luke first and took off. I laughed and kept my same pace, watching as she hugged her honorary aunts and uncles.

"Hey man" Calum smiled as I walked up. Kemper has already taken a seat on the ground in front of Crystal and leaned back between her legs,

"You know you didn't have to come. The boys would've understood since Kemper's here" Luke told me,

"I know but I figured she'd want to see them too" I nodded as the players took the field.

I stood back behind Sierra, Grace, and Crystal with the guys. Kemper was watching intently but also laughing everytime Calum would yell at Hunter.

When the game ended, we stood around waiting for the boys to walk over. Kemper was leaned back against my chest holding onto my arms,

But as soon as the boys got closer, all four kids ran and hugged each other. Of course, Sierra, Crystal, and Grace had their phones out and taking a picture.

"We missed you Kemper" Hunter mumbled and held on a little tighter.

Logan and Hunter slowly broke away and walked to their parents after briefly hugging me. But, Caleb and Kemper were still in a hug. They were always inseparable and were always little troublemakers together.

"Alright, everybody want to go back to ours? We can order pizza or something" Luke asked. Everyone agreed so I grabbed my daughter and followed Michael to the Hemmings'.

"Happy you got to see your cousins?" I asked Kemper who was still smiling from ear to ear,

"Very happy. Even though it's been two years, it's still weird not being able to see them everyday" she told me. I sighed,

"I'm sorry things got weird. I never wished that you'd be in a situation like this" I spoke honestly,

"It's okay Dad. It's not your fault. I just wish I got to see you more. It kinda sucks not having my dad around" Kemper looked out the window,

"I can tell you now, it's hard without having my little girl around too" I told her.

We got to Luke's and Kemper went straight upstairs where the boys were playing Xbox in Caleb's rooom. I was glad she was happy right now.
