Dad was acting weird. When I got up for school and went downstairs, he had a full breakfast made. Usually, I just grab like a pop tart or we get something on the way. Then he wouldn't stop hugging me and telling me that he was always there for me and if something was wrong or if I didn't like something to tell him.

We got to school and instead of him going through the drop-off line, he parked,

"I'll be picking you up this afternoon," he told me,

"Okay" I grinned then went to get out but the door was still locked,

"Dad, can you unlock the door?" I laughed lightly,

"Oh yeah" he nodded and hit the button, but grabbed my arm so I wouldn't get out, "I love you"

"I love you too Dad" I smiled but watched his eyes soften a whole lot, "Don't miss me too much"

"I'll try not to" he laughed, "Have a good day"

I finally got out and waved as I walked towards school, meeting with Hunter, Caleb, and Logan who were waiting by the steps for me,

"What was that about?" Hunter asked as he hugged me, then left his arm over my shoulder. Since we kissed, he's been touchy. He's either holding my hand or hugging me,

"Honestly, no idea. He's acting weird" I shrugged, "I've been thinking of everything but I have no clue why he's being weird"

"Do you think you're in trouble?" Logan asked, but I shook my head no,

"What about this thing with you and Hunter? Does he know about that?" Caleb rolled his eyes,

"He knows" I whispered as Hunter gave my shoulder a small squeeze,

"I'm sure everything is okay. Maybe he's just stressed. I mean, I heard my dad telling my mom that it's been crazy at the studio" Hunter suggested,

"Maybe" I shrugged as the bell rang for us to head to class.

When I walked out of school, Dad was already in the pick-up line. I said bye to the boys and headed to the car, opening the door and climbing in the front seat,

"Hi princess" Dad kissed my head, "Have a good day?"

"Yeah" I nodded just as my phone buzzed from the groupchat with the boys,

Hunter: [ YOU GUYS!
The new skatepark just opened down the street from my house! Meet up? ]

Logan: [ Heck yeah!! Caleb and Kemper,
I can pick all up ]

Caleb: [ I'm down ]

I paused and looked over to my dad,

"Hey Dad? Hunter said a new skatepark opened and the boys are going. Can I go? I don't have homework"

I watched Dad nervously look over at me,

"Princess, I kinda need you to be home tonight" he bit his lip,

I nodded and texted the boys back,
