Hydros and Vick entered a small room with a few tables surrounded by chairs. Inside were twenty other soldiers waiting for them. All of them were chatting and whispering about what was going on. Confusion swept over them like a thin veil, distorting their thoughts. Hydros had never called for a meeting like this other than for a briefing.

"What's goin' on Sarge?" One of them asked.

"We need to talk about this deal we got going with the Doc, Hunter. I wasn't informed about today's injections and it bothers me. Did anyone happen to know about them?" Hydros asked, sitting on the edge of a table.

"I didn't hear nothin' Sarge. No one did. Why're ya so bent outta shape over it?" Hunter asked. His brown eyes full of curiosity.

"I don't want those kids to go through what I did when I was younger. And yet I fear that they are going down a path that they could never even dream about crawling out of. I just want to make sure that we know everything about what's going on so we can plan ahead." Hydros responded.

"Then why don't we just barge in and take over? I'm sick of this job anyway! The food is shit and the people here are assholes! The ladies are so uptight! I can't even swoon the nurses!" Another complained. He feigned distress, whipping his long blonde hair out of his eyes.

"Ya would say that Kicka. Ya always been a pain in the arse! Haha!" Hunter laughed.

"Oi! The ladies love me! It's just that, these ladies can't seem to let loose and have fun!" He defended.

"I have no desire to take over this freak show." Hydros interrupted. "And I do not think it would be wise. The soldiers stationed here are loyal to Seraph and would not be easily swayed."

"Then, what's our plan? If we have an issue then we must voice it or act on it." A lanky man with spectacles covering his golden eyes.

"Our plan is to get someone on the inside to be our informant. I don't believe Seraph when he says that he'll inform me about any future medical procedure. So, I think, if we could get someone who is close to the Project then we'd know more." Hydros said.

"And? What if that fails? Most of the nurses and medical staff report directly to Doctor Seraph. It would be quite difficult to sway any of them to our cause." The lanky man said.

"Tick's got a point Sarge. Not many of 'em are gonna be nippin' at our heals to help." Hunter said.

"What about Hera? Aren't the two of you close?" Kicka asked.

"I don't know. I can't imagine that I'd be able to just ask her to outright betray her employer. I'd have to bring it up very, very, slowly. She might get offended if I accused Seraph of doing something that only bothers me." Hydros sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"Then we must plan accordingly. Sir, if you bring this up to her, then you must plan for every outcome." Tick said, pushing his spectacles up. "You must be able to dominate the conversation no matter what. This may bother you but it concerns all of us. I personally have nothing against the Doctor only because his technology is outstanding."

"Ya've always been a nerd Tick. Only ya would be screeching like a schoolgirl." Hunter added.

"I only mean that he has provided us with the means to do our job more efficiently. I do not want to make an enemy out of him." Tick said, turning to Hunter.

"Huh, I guess that's true. So, we have ta rely on Hera?" Hunter scratched his head.

"That seems to be our only option. Sir?" Vick asked.

"I see a lot of myself in those kids and I'd hate to see them end up how I did. I also don't want to endanger any of you. I only took this job cause it paid well. If we do this, we must unanimously agree to it. We'll put it to vote. Yay fo yes, nay for no." Hydros stated.
