Devon laid on his bed with his arms crossed behind his head. He stared at the underside of the bunk above him, letting his thoughts wonder. The door hissed open letting Alyssa and Rose enter. His thoughts kept his focus away from the rest of the world as they entered the room.

"Hey Devon, what're you up to?" Rose asked.

Devon did not respond as he continued staring at the bunk. He breathed slowly and methodically, as though he was trying to meditate. Alyssa walked over to him, snapping her fingers in his ear. When he did not respond to that, she shoved him off the bed.

"Ah! The hell?!"

"Ya gotta say somethin' when yer sister says hi ya dork." Alyssa said.

"O-Oh, I didn't even realize you were here. Where's Lukas and Eune?" Devon asked as he stood up.

"Those two are training with Arcturus. They said they wanted to work on using their spirits more." Rose said.

"I see." Devon mumbled.

"Ya don't need ta be so down about it. You'll be with us in no time." Alyssa said.

"Y-Yeah. There's probably just something wrong with your spirit is all!" Rose hesitantly said.

...

"Yer really bad at this, ya know that?"

"O-Oh, I'm sorry Devon! I didn't mean it like that!"

"I know you didn't sis, don't worry about it." Devon quietly said. "I should get going as well. I have a meeting with Michael to deal with."

"O-Okay, good luck!" Rose hesitantly said.

"Thanks."

Rose watched as Devon left the room, releasing a sigh as the door closed behind him. She sat down on her bunk with her head in her hands.

"Ya know you can talk if ya want ta. We may not see eye ta eye but we both care 'bout him." Alyssa said.

"I just, I don't know. He's my brother, and yet, it seems like I can't get through to him or cheer him up....am I just a bad sister?" Rose asked.

"Mmm, maybe." Alyssa joked.

"Alyssa...please."

"Haha! I know, I know. I think ya need ta get some time with 'im. He hasn't been talkin' to Eune or I, nor Lukas. I haven't seen him talk to Hydros either. He needs someone ta talk to." Alyssa said.

"It's hard enough as it is to talk to him. He always seems so...distant lately."

"Maybe he's not ready yet. Ya might need ta give him some time." Alyssa added.

"Maybe, or maybe I need to be more persistent. I don't want him to bottle it up. I want to help him." Rose sighed.

"Oi, we all wanna help him. We can't force it on him though."

"You're right. I'll think of something, thanks Alyssa."

"No problem."

...

"Are you sure you do not wish to tell them about our connection?"

"Not right now. I still need to figure out what is wrong with our connection. I can't seem to access your powers." Devon whispered.

"While I do not like how things turned out, I do wish to help you however I can. I shall reflect upon myself and see if something is hindering our connection."
