Chapter 3. New Identities

"Let me get this straight!" I started. "That thing is a..."

Yaoshida interrupted. "Orb assistant. They are called Orb Assistants. You are taught to summon one when you are at least 6 years old. But you can't actually do it until you're 11. If you don't summon one by the time you're 12, your assistant's soul stays here, while its Earth form stays on Earth to protect its master. Some assistants even have pets. Like Pearl!"

"Right." I said in a shocked tone. That was a lot of information to take in. "And in what world are we in, where we are taught to summon assistants?"

"My world." Said Yaoshida. "The Half-Breed world. Full of Half-Breed animals. And is ruled by dragons."

"WHAT!?" I yelled. "You're lying! You're not making any sense!

Half-Breeds, dragons.. It's All Madness, And Lies! And besides. What does any of this have to do with me? I'm no half-breed!"

Yaoshida continued. 'I agree. But my assistant here believes, for whatever reason, that you might be the lost Dragon Prince Blade."

"What?" I said. "You mean like, Prince Blade from the stories? That's crazy! Lies! All Your Telling Are Lies!"

Yaoshida looked up. 'If you don't believe me. Look behind you."

"What?" I said in confusion. But then I turned around to see the Red-Ish palace, with trees surrounding every corner.

I started to tremble back in fear. "What the- Where- WHERE ARE WE!? Where did you take me!?"

"It's not my fault." Yaoshida exclaimed. 'If you hadn't thrown my bag off a roof, we wouldn't be here right now!"

I couldn't really argue with that point.

"Whatever." She started. "Lets just go inside and get cleaned up."

I argued. 'I'm not going anywhere with you until yo-"

"Merisiel." Yaoshida started once again. "Take Blokko to my room. Set him a bath, with clean clothes. I will meet you in my room, once I am changed."

"Of course. "replied Merisiel.

I was really caught off guard from this. Did Yaoshida want the girl to set me a bath? Then I reminded myself of the situation I am in. From my knowledge, Yaoshida is some type of high class member or something. She must be used to this type of treatment.

After my bath, I went to Yaoshida's room and changed. Merisiel waited outside until I was done. When she came back in, we both sat on Yaoshida's bed, and waited.

Curiosity got the best of me. I slowly reached over, and caressed Merisel's ears. She seemed to get very shy when I did, so I stopped, and apologized.

"Sorry Merisiel. I got curious."

"It's fine." Merisiel replied.

"Hey Merisiel." I asked. "What are you?"

"Who? Me? I'm a cat. But Pearl over here is a dog."

"Wow." I complemented. "That's so cool."

I had just realized that Yaoshida had been gone for a while. I got off her bed, and walked over a little window nook in her room, and sat down there to wait.

Merisiel offered me a candy apple. I didn't even think to ask where she got it from. I took the candied apple from her, and took a small bite. It tasted amazing.

After I took a few bites out of the apple, Yaoshida finally came back. I was about to yell at her for taking so long, but before I could, I caught a glimpse of her beauty. She looked as if she just came out of a movie.

"Yao-Yaoshida?" I asked. "Is that you?

"Why would you ask that Blokko? Is there something wrong with my etire?" Yaoshida looked down at her dress.

"No!" I yelled. "No. You just look... Different. That's all."

"Oh. Ok. As long as nothing is wrong, we can get started."

I was still lost. "Started? Started with what?"

"You said you wanted to know what was going on. Didn't you?" She said in a seductive voice.

That's when I remembered. "Oh Yeah! I almost forgot about that. Well Yes. I want to know Everything."
