Chapter Ten

NO ONE'S POV

Jarvis spoke over the load speakers, "Avengers are needed for a team meeting. Request by Mr. Stark"

The team made their way to the glass room with a glass electronic table top. They all assumed their places wearing mostly in sweatpants and t shirts. Stark was wearing one of his trademark suits waiting for them to arrive. All of them except for Nat seemed agitated by another meeting. The only people missing were Annabelle, Clint, and Thor. Thor being on babysitting duty and Clint being in partial retirement.

Tony spoke first, "Banner and I were down in the lab doing some experiment on the gunk, with a lack of a better name. It's similar to some old archives we have of previous experiments of some sort of teleportation using high levels of radiation through an activator. The activator being the unknown substance."

Banner made a 3-D model of what they know appear above the table, "What we do know is, this stuff isn't something natural or easy to come by. It has a similar fingerprint as the Aether and the tesseract, which wasn't surprising giving how the tesseract can manipulate space and the Aether being of a similar chaotic nature."

Tony kept talking as they were all divulged into the story, "So what we know is we know nothing of how she got here, or how the portal was opened. Whoever did it must've had access to both of these elements, conjoined them in a top level lab and it didn't open where they wanted it to and she walked in through the other side instead."

"Or worse it did open where they wanted it to and since this is untouched science... it could've created a separate paradox portal where they walked through to her universe and she walked in through ours without us noticing."

Rogers sat up looking at the diagram, "So someone is playing mix and match with alien elements and opening portals to other realities. Sounds like hydra to me."

"Hydra has gotten a hold of the tesseract before," Natasha agreed, "They could've done it again."

"So Annabelle is stuck here?" Sam asked.

Banner stopped the presentation and opened up another tab, "No probably not. Not unless we can obtain both of the elements and forge them together. I think since the girl's powers are of similar nature to the portal, if that is where she had gotten them, she could potentially open it back up and walk through. But there is no real telling if it would be safe or not."

"If she would even want to go" Bucky added amused, "She got pretty friendly with you're boy Parker at the party Tony."

"And you're just telling me this now?" Tony remarked irritated, "Did anything else happen?"

"She used her voodoo thing to shatter some glass when this guy was making a move on her."

They all spoke at once
Captain: She can break glass now?
Natasha: Did she hit him?
Bruce: Is she okay?
Tony: What the hell were you doing?

Bucky sorted out all their questions as Thor and Anna were playing Wii tennis on the floor below them. They were neck and neck the entire time but Anna kept pulling out wins using a specially timed hit that made the tennis ball go super fast.

"I am Thor son of Odin, heir to the Asguardian throne, will not be beaten out by a child at a mid guardian game."

"Maybe if you didn't the whole time we were playing you would focus better."

Thor swung the Wii remote back and hit the ball forcefully as she was saying that and yelled at the screen watching the ball move slowly towards the other side of the net. She hit it back with the ball moving at super-speed bouncing off of the court and missing the racket.
