ANNABELLE STARK'S POV
Peter and I convinced Mr. Stark to let him stay the night slightly guilt tripping him with whatever we could come up with. By the time we got back to the tower it was too late to have lunch and too early to have dinner so we ate a whole bunch of unhealthy food. I kept catching Peter glance at me then staring back down at his chips.
"Something as simple as chocolate and peanut butter and you mortals make it a genius combination."
Thor was hanging out with us too most likely sent by Stark, I think he was there because he is one of my favorite people in the tower. Natasha walked by a few times being not so subtle checking up on me and Peter. "So you young warrior, I heard you've had maiden trouble."
"Everything seems pretty amazing right now." he looked at me then back down at his bowl of Lays.
"What about you? Any trouble with the mortals?"
"Mortals are treating me pretty good right now." Peter looked at me smiling raising his eyebrows flirtatiously which was so uncharacteristic of him I let out a laugh. Thor looked over at Peter then back at me sensing something was up.
"Natasha come and collect your bounty!" he shouted as he stood up walking towards the archway pulling out some gold coins from the pocket of his jeans.
Natasha ran in excitingly telling him how she told him so. "I knew you two love birds would get together-" she paused awkwardly when she saw me, "Umm hey kid, sorry about the whole things with-"
"Don't worry about it." I scrunched up my nose wanting to talk about it having already forgiven her.
"So Peter you're staying the night. Teenage boy dreams can come true I guess."
"I don't know what you mean by that but sure."
He scooted closer to me wrapping his arm around me seeing how I was a little distraught about Nat bringing up my parents. I've never asked Peter about his parents, then again its not something people should ask about. If I'm his girlfriend, shouldn't I know about them? Or do I wait for him to tell me? I shouldn't ask about them and I also should know about them. I could always ask Aunt May but that feels like I would be deceiving him. It's better to leave it alone. I almost feel guilty for him comforting me even though he's been through the same thing. Maybe that's why he was so good at this.
"Anna?"
"Huh?" I got snapped out of my own thoughts.
"Where'd you go?" he asked smiling slightly worried.
I looked at Natasha and Thor who also looked amused with my zoning out overthinking, "I don't know" I laughed not really wanting to bring any of it up.
"We asked what you wanted for dinner and you didn't respond." Natasha explained.
"Oh I'm down for anything. Hamburgers maybe?"
In a little while everyone was eating hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, chicken burgers, and Peter had chicken nuggets and fries claiming he wasn't a hamburger person. Mr. Stark and I shared awkward glances checking to see if the other was feeling as awkward being in the same room. I thought Mrs. Potts would feel the same way but she was really friendly. She reminded me of what a mom should be and what I've been missing out on. How she brought extra napkins to the table and yelled at Bucky for leaving his arm on the table.
"Annabelle honey you all set?" she asked staring down at my empty plate.
"Yeah thanks I got it." I stood up grabbing me and Peters plates as he was laughing with Falcon about something. I picked out bits and pieces like Peter asking Bucky how he gets through a metal detector, wondering if he polishes it, asking if magnets can stick to it and if he can buy him some, and Sam just laughing at Bucky.
