You're on the ship, having let the others go ahead as you try and get in contact with Nebula to see how far away she is and Rocket and Thor to try and warn them. You hear Drax yell out "Thanos!" and sounds of a fight as you frantically try to make contact.

Finally, you do.

"Rocket? Thor?"

"Y/n." Rockets voice comes over. "We're in the middle of something, what do you need?"

"Thor's trying to find a way to make Stormbreaker by restarting the forge and Eitri is already done with him?" You say knowingly.

"Wha... how did you..."

"Not important. Just, if all else fails, once you get to Earth tell Thor to go for the head."

"What?"

"It'll make sense later, but this is important. You have to tell him, okay? Go for the head, not the chest."

"Head, not the chest. Got it. You're sure everything's okay?"

You hesitate. "Let's hope it will be. You're our backup, though. The only thing that can let us win this. Got it?"

"Yup." He pauses. "I gotta say, you're scaring me, kid."

You smile tiredly, although he can't see it. "Just go make the damn ax."

"Will do." The communication cuts out and you sigh, leaning your head against the ship. It's only then in the silence that you realize the fighting has stopped. You head out carefully, creeping around to get a better view of the situation. It's only when you notice that the Guardians are locked in a standstill argument with some people from Earth—most notably, your father—that you facepalm, sigh, and decide to go clear everything up. You had forgotten about this part, and let's be honest, you aren't exactly looking forward to it either.

"I'm not from Earth, I'm from Missouri," Peter says.

You decide to make your presence known—might as well get it over with. "Yeah, that's on Earth, dipshit," you say as you land in between Peter and Tony. "Hey, Dad."

Tony gapes, blinking a few times, then shakes his head. "I'm sure there's an explanation for this, but it'll have to wait," he mutters. Your father glances past you, at Peter. "What are you hassling us for?"

The human arachnid in the fancy suit speaks up. "So, you're not with Thanos?" He sounds slightly crushed.

You close your eyes, head pulsing like you have a headache as you search through stores of information in the Stones. Peter Parker comes to you from the Soul Stone, giving you the stranger's name. Better go with last names, you realize—Quill and Parker.

"With Thanos?!" Quill is indignant. "No, I'm here to kill Thanos! He took my girl- Wai- who are you?"

Parker de-helmets, shocking you by how obviously young he is. Why would Dad bring some kid to space?! It doesn't seem like him at all.

You almost miss what Parker says, sounding offended. "We're the Avengers, man."

"Oh," is all Quill responds.

Mantis is far more enthusiastic. "You're the ones Thor told us about!"

Tony is facepalming on a spiritual level—and you're right there with him. "You know Thor!?"

"Yeah. Tall guy, not that good-looking," Quill attempts to sound casual and flippant, Parker sending him an incredulous look, "needed saving."

The sorcerer pauses, considering. "Where is he now?"
