"Ugh." You wake up with a pounding headache and light streaming in through the windows. Groping about while keeping your eyes closed, you find the heavy comforter and pull it over your head to block out the light.

Unfortunately, in doing so, you come into contact with something solid and warm. Confused, you slowly open your eyes to find an asleep Tony Stark next to you—your cover boss, to be specific. You are a SHIELD agent and close friend to the Avengers, assigned to a mission needing a good cover, so Tony offered a recently vacated position as his PA. He is also kind of your crush, but you know he would never reciprocate the feelings.

Looking around, you notice clothes littering the floor. Did we-

You slowly extract yourself from Tony's arms, making sure not to wake him. You are in his room, meaning that you don't have your suitcase and clothes with you. You lay there in bed, staring at his face. While asleep, it actually looks peaceful. Not always, but today it does, and it gives you a sense of happiness that you know won't last. After all, Tony would never love you back. But you cant help but revel in the sweet moment.

Boy, you got me feeling helpless

All good things must come to an end, though, so you kiss his head and slip out of bed. Grabbing one of Tony's t-shirts and two towels, you shower. Noticing the hickeys covering you confirms the suspicion you had earlier. Yup, we definitely did. After showering, you put on the t-shirt and wrap one of the towels around your waist, the other in a turban for your hair.

Look into your eyes and the, sky's the limit

You slowly creep out of the room, tiptoeing to the door to the hallway. I'll just get out of here and cover them up, and he'll never know. He'll just assume it was another woman and won't suspect me, and I'll be in the clear.

You manage to not get caught until you have barely turned the doorknob.

I'm helpless

"(Y/n)?" Tony asks blearily. You look over at where he lies, a hurt puppy dog pout forming over as he squints at the brightness. His eyes are filled with confusion and hurt. "Where are you going?

Down for the count and I'm, drowning in 'em

"I'm just going to get clothes," you lie, faking a smile, "but I'll be back in a second. I'm sorry for waking you."

"No, don't go." He reaches his arms out, obviously still half asleep. "Come cuddle."

You blush. "It- it's not proper. I'm your employee."

He cocks an eyebrow. "And what we did last night wasn't?" His husky morning voice combined with the words cause you to blush deeper.

"I- uhm- we- uhh-" Flustered, you are at a loss for words as you look into those deep, twinkling chocolate brown eyes. "Yeah, but I really need to get changed, we have an early flight out." You try to maintain your composure as you run from the room. Honestly, (y/n), what were you thinking, letting this happen? You quickly change once back in your room, snippets of the past night running through your head.
