A/n: Sorry for any ooc parts, I tried to stick as close to the character as possible!
Prompt: "I don't see why people see being backed into a corner as a bad thing. You just have to learn to use it to your advantage."

You walk onto the subway, glancing around 'casually' to make sure no one from earlier is still following you as you take a seat, when you do a double-take, noticing a man near you pouring a 𝔐𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 in his coffee. The two of you lock eyes and he tells you nonchalantly, "I'm going to die."

He then chugs the whole thing as you stifle a laugh, never breaking eye contact. "Ooh, can I?" You tease the random stranger.

"Can you what? Have a sip, or can you die?" He quips.

"Well, die, but I have to have some in order to do so," you reply with a wink.

He raises an impressed eyebrow, finishing his 𝔐𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯-coffee. "Touché."

The two of you stop talking, riding in your own separate bubbles.

Finally, it's your stop, and you get off. Walking out to the station, you are bumped into, sending you into someone else and knocking them down. You stand up quickly, brushing yourself off as you apologize profusely and pick the stuff that you and the person dropped.

When you stand, you notice that it's the man from earlier on the subway. He grins goofily as you hand him the things he dropped.

"Oh my gosh, I am so, so, sorry," you repeat for the trillionth time.

"No problem." He takes the papers. "Scott Lang. And since the universe seems so intent on throwing us together, would you want to go get some coffee?"

A small smile forms as you consider, and decide that you'll be fine, you can defend yourself pretty well—especially if you pick the place.

Which, you don't think he's going to hurt you—he seems innocent and sweet enough—but still, better safe than sorry.

You think all of this in less than a second. "Sure," you accept, "Y/n Y/l/n. I know a really nice shop downtown."

"Only if they have 𝔐𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯𝔰," Scott quips, causing you to laugh.

The two of you walk together to the coffee shop, you and he getting to know each other better. When you get there, you snag a table by a window, chatting as you sip your respective drinks.

Scott turns out to be really sweet and funny, and you're glad that you met him. Unfortunately, your impromptu date is quickly interrupted by the men who were following you earlier.

You are listening to Scott when you notice them on their respective spots across the store and outside, two of them inching ever closer.

You check your watch, feigning surprise. "Oh my gosh, Scott, I am so sorry, but I really have to go," you apologize, interrupting him. He is momentarily shocked but smiles.

"Oh, no," he replies amicably, "you're fine. Thanks for talking to me, I really enjoyed this..." his voice trails off and the brunette clears his throat. "Would you want to do this again soon?"

Despite your impending doom, you manage a grin. "Are you asking me on a date?"

He nods, and you write down your number on a napkin. "Text me," you say, getting up. He waves at you as you leave, grinning so wide it's as if you've given him the world.

As you leave the small coffee shop, clutching your purse tightly, you notice the men from there getting up and following you. You also spot men from the crowd trailing you.
