Chapter 32

Later that evening

The Riverdale students were having a great time celebrating their victory, many of them were dancing to music and a couple of them were in the hot tub. Toni, Cheryl, Reggie, Josie, Archie and Veronica were all sat around a table playing poker.

"Pay up Andrews!" Reggie laughed as he showed his cards.
"Damn" he huffed in frustration. Archie handed Reggie a five dollar bill.
"Next round?" Veronica asked while sorting the cards out.
The others nodded in agreement.

Someone began knocking at the door.

"Do you think it's the hotel, are we too loud?" Josie panicked.
"I don't think we are that loud" Veronica admitted.
Toni got up from the couch and headed to the door. She opened the door to see Hailey standing there.

"Hey Toni, you look great," Hailey confessed.
"Thanks, you too," Toni moved out of the way to let Hailey in to the suite.
"I brought this for us to share" Hailey held up a bottle of vodka.
"Wow, thanks. Come on we are playing poker," Toni led Hailey to the couch and table where her friends were sitting.

"Hey everyone for those that don't know, this is Hailey" Toni introduced.
"Hey" the group said at the same time.
"Nice! A bottle of vodka" Reggie confessed while hinting at the drink in the girls hand.
"Here you can pour us all one" Hailey laughed and gave the bottle to him.
"Come and sit down" Toni moved along to create a space for the girl to sit down. Cheryl huffed in frustration.
"Thanks" Hailey sat down next to Toni.

Reggie began pouring out drinks for the group of friends. Josie handed out the cups but Archie refused.
"I had better not as I'm driving us back in the morning". Archie held up his soda to decline.
"Good point" Josie laughed.
"So, Hailey, how do you know our Toni" Veronica questioned whilst dealing out the deck of cards.
"We were best friends at Middle School" Hailey smiled.
"Aw cute" Veronica confessed.
"I moved to New York at the start of High School but I then got a scholarship at Stonewall so I came back"
"I'm originally from New York" Veronica said excitedly.
"Ah no way!"

Veronica and Hailey exchanged stories about their time in New York. By this time most of the group were slightly drunk and struggling to focus on the card game.

"I'm struggling to concentrate" Toni laughed.
"Same" Josie giggled.
"How about some truth or dare?" Reggie suggested.
"Yeah that a good idea" Toni agreed.
"I will be right back just going to the toilet" Cheryl got up from the couch and left the table.
"Awesome, Toni you can start" Reggie gave Toni an empty beer bottle and put it on the table. She spun it around and watched it stop in front of Archie.
"Ok Archie, truth or dare?"
"Truth" Archie said confidently.
"Ok hmmm let's think...if you had to give up either football or music which one would you pick?"
"Hmmm I would say music" Archie admitted.
"Yes Andrews, good answer" Reggie fist bumped his fellow team mate.
"Ok my turn" Archie spun the bottle and it landed Josie.

"Ok Josie, truth or dare?"
"I will also go truth"
"Who is the better singer in the Pussycats, Valerie or Melody?"
"Aw they are my girls. I can't choose. Can I do a shot to forfeit?" Josie pleaded.
"I suppose" Archie handed Josie a shot. She tilted her head back and drank the shot in one go.

"That was strong. Ok who's next" Josie coughed and took a sip from her cup. She span the bottle which landed on her boyfriend Reggie.
"Let's go dare baby" Reggie moved closer to her.
"I dare you to let me text someone in your phone contacts" Josie laughed.
"Ugh fine I'm too drunk to care" Reggie put his hand in his pocket and pulled out his phone. He unlocked and gave it to his girlfriend. Josie began composing a message.

"Who's next then?" Reggie took the bottle and spun it once again. This time it landed on Hailey.
"Ok, truth or dare?"
"I'm gonna go dare" Hailey said confidently.
"I dare you to kiss someone in the room" Reggie smiled.
"Ok fine" Hailey turned to her side and grabbed Toni's face then pulled her in and kissed her lips.
"Woah" asaid Reggie.

At this time Cheryl had come back from the bathroom to see her girlfriend kissing Hailey.
"What the fuck Toni?" Cheryl said angrily.
"Cheryl it was a dare, I didn't know she was going to kiss me" Toni admitted.
"I should have known, you couldn't keep your eyes off of her at the competition. Stay away from my girlfriend you slut" Cheryl shouted.
"Woah, Cheryl calm down. That was out of order" Toni confronted her girlfriend and tried to calm her.
"Trust you to take her side" Cheryl continued to argue.
"Cheryl why are you being like this. It was a game, I didn't asked to be kissed" Toni stood up to Cheryl.
"Yes but I didn't see you stop her"
"I was shocked more than anything!"
"I don't believe you"
"Oh really like the time you didn't believe me about the drugs?" Toni argued.
"Why are you bringing that up? You know how bad I felt about that" Cheryl said with tears in her eyes.
Cheryl walked over to get closer to Toni, she placed her hand on the the smaller girl's arm.
"Toni please, you know I'm sorry about that" Toni moved her shoulder away so that Cheryl's hand fell off it.
"You know what, you are making a big mistake Toni" Cheryl said sternly.
"I can't be in a relationship if there is no trust" Toni confessed.
"Trust?"
"Yes!" Toni shouted.
"I wish I had never trusted my heart and fell in love with you" Cheryl admitted.
"Who knew your cold heart could love someone"
"Toni that's enough" Jughead added.
"You have really broke my heart Toni. I will never forgive you" Cheryl left the room sobbing hard and was shortly followed by Josie.

"Party's over guys please go" Toni said angrily.
The students left the suite leaving Toni and Hailey alone.
