Chapter 22 part 2

Cheryl's POV

My wrists were starting to hurt at this point from the cable ties, I could feel the blood being cut off to my hand. Thankfully the Ghoulie had fallen asleep on the sofa that was in the corner of the warehouse. I moved my arms to try and break off the cable ties or at least allow some blood to flow back in to my arms. Unfortunately I couldn't do either. I suddenly became overwhelmed by the situation and tears began rolling down my face and because I couldn't even wipe them away I cried more. 

Through my tear filled eyes I could see someone hiding behind some boxes. This mysterious person cautiously stepped out in to light and to my shock it was Toni! She put her finger on her lip to keep me quiet but to be truthful I was in too much shock to speak. Toni walked slowly towards me while trying to create as little noise as possible to stop the Ghoulie from waking up.

"It's okay, you're safe now" Toni whispered 

She put her hand in to her serpents jacket and pulled out a pocket knife. She then began cutting the ties around my wrist. Once my hands were free I grabbed Toni's face and pulled her in for a kiss. I didn't want to let her go so I kept her pulled in. I broke up the kiss when a beer bottle dropped on the floor. I turned to see the Ghoulie stirring from his sleep.

"We need to go" Toni whispered as she cut the ties of my ankles freeing me form the chair.

The Ghoulie saw us standing by the chair, he reached down and picked up the gun then aimed it us.

"Don't move or I will shoot" he warned with the gun trembling in his hands.

"It's okay, put the gun down" Toni pushed me to stand behind her, I nervously grabbed her arm tightly. 

"I said...get...get...back in the chair" the guy stammered, he seemed very nervous and uncomfortable about the situation.

"I will do whatever you want just let her go" Toni offered

"I'm not leaving you" I panicked

"Yes you are. Cheryl go!" Toni whispered harshly as she pushed me away towards the door.

I slowly walked towards the door where Toni had come from. All I remember is Toni and the Ghoulie staring at one another without a word be said. I ran down a corridor till I got to a door which I opened and it led me to outside. It was dark outside apart from a small light that was on the wall of the warehouse. I could see the car that was used to bring me here. I slowly walked around the corner to see if anyone was in it, thankfully there was no Ghoulies there. I walked up to the car and tried to open the door but it was locked. I saw my jacket was still in the back of the car along with my phone. I searched the ground then found a small rock that I then used to smash the window of the car.

I dropped the rock and reached in to grab my jacket and phone, once I had them I removed arm from the window but I cut my arm on some of the broken glass remaining on the door. I examined my arm to see a large cut that was bleeding quite a bit, I used my jacket to try and stop the bleeding. I took my phone out and immediately called the police.

The Police operator told me to not go back in the warehouse and try and stay out of sight in case any of the Ghoulies returned. 2 minutes had passed but it felt like forever, but then I could hear police sirens at the top of the road I felt a sigh of relief. The Police car raced down the road till it stopped right outside the main doors to the warehouse. Sheriff Keller and his deputy both got out of their cars along with two other officers. 

"Sheriff Keller Toni's in there and a guy has a gun" I went up to him and broke down

"Cheryl stay behind the car, we will get her out don't worry" he moved me to save place while his officers put on bullet proof vests. He then radioed in for an ambulance for my cut arm that was still bleeding. He went in to his car and grabbed a first aid kit and began dealing with my arm.

"Ok guys get in position" Sheriff Keller ordered

Just as the made their way to the door a gunshot went off.

"Toni!" I screamed and I tried to go back in to the warehouse but Sheriff Keller held me back

"Go now!" Sheriff Keller told his team of officers

The officers went in to the warehouse with their guns ready to shoot if necessary. I could her them shouting 'drop your weapon' several times. Sheriff Keller was still stopping me from going back in no matter how hard I tried. 

"Cheryl it's not safe" he told me

The two officers appeared with the Ghoulie in handcuffs and was pulling him to one of the police cars.

"Sheriff" the deputy called out as he appeared from the door while supporting Toni around the waist as she was slumped over and could barely walked.

I saw Toni struggling to walk with the deputy, I ran over to her but I stopped when I saw her shirt underneath her jacket had a large red patch on it.

"Toni" I cried 

The deputy laid her down on the floor and removed her jacket as Sheriff Keller came over with the first aid kit and began pressing on Toni's wound to stop the bleeding which caused her to wince at the pain.

"Cheryl" Toni said weakly

I moved so I was leaning over her so she could see me. I held her hand that was covered in her blood while the deputy continued attending to her wound. 

"You're going to be ok Toni. I'm here, you're safe with me" I stroked her pale face and looked her in her panic stricken eyes. 

"Keep talking to her, she needs to stay awake" Sheriff Keller told me

"Toni, just hang in a little more okay, we are getting you help. Just stay with me ok" I kept stroking her hand and cheek.

I could hear the ambulance coming down the road. I look back a Toni and I could see her losing consciousness.

"Toni you have to stay with me. Do you hear me? I need you Toni more than ever" I begged.
