Chapter 30

phone buzzes

"Hey Betty, how's the trip?" Jughead answered.

"Nothing much, just chilling at home with Archie, what are y'all up to?" he listened to Betty's reply.

"Ah, so you're going back to the hotel now" Jughead hinted at them to start getting out of the hot tub and get ready for the girls' return.

"Sorry, Betty I got to go. There's someone at the door. I will call you later ok?"

"Love you too." Jughead ended to the call and climbed out of the hot tub and began drying himself with the towel that Toni had handed him.

"How long are they gonna be?" Reggie questioned while drying his dark messy hair.

"Not sure they are leaving the venue now, so like 15, 20 mins?" Jughead picked up his stuff and made his way back in to the suite.

"You ok there Archie?" Toni looked down at Archie who seemed a little disorientated.

"I think I might have drunk too much too quickly" Archie replied will carefully standing up from the chair.

"Come on bro, I got chips in my bag. That should help you sober up" Reggie ushered Archie through the suite to where all their stuff was.

"We'll see you later then?" Jughead smiled.

"Sure" Toni replied with a bigger smile.

The boys picked up their stuff and left the suite to find their own rooms so they could get settled in. Toni closed the door behind them and went in to the bathroom to get out of her wet underwear and put on a dry set, she then proceeded to put on one of the robes that was hanging up. Toni sat down on the large sofa and lent across to pick up the phone that was on the table next to her.

"Hi, could I get some room service please?"

Meanwhile outside the hotel

"Ugh I just want a hot shower and an early night" Josie sighed.

"Come on Josie, where's the fun in that?" Veronica commented.

"At least come to my room for a bit" Cheryl begged.

"I supposed so" Josie jokingly rolled her eyes then smiled.

The girls walked in to the hotel lobby and took the elevator to their floor. Cheryl took out her phone and began texting Toni until the elevator doors opened up, Cheryl walked out followed by the others. Once Cheryl reached her room, she inserted the key card to open the door and held it open to allow the girls to enter her room. Josie walked over to Cheryl's bed, dropped her bag down by the side and face planted the pillow in exhaustion.

"Well someone's tired" Veronica joked.

"I'm so comfy" Josie mumbled in to the pillow.

The girls laughed at their friend, until they was interrupted by the hotel room phone.

"Do you think we are making too much noise?" Betty panicked.

"Surely not," Veronica reassured.

Cheryl picked up the handset and answered.

"Yes this is Cheryl"

She continued to listen to the voice on the line.

"Yes that's fine, thank you." Cheryl put the handset back down to end the call.

"Who was that?" Josie mumbled again.

"Someone from the committee, we have a captains meeting in half and hour, so I need to get ready. But we can meet up again after"
