Chapter 19

The next morning

The girls had woken up early so that Toni could go home before school to pick up a few things. Unaware to them there was a car parked opposite the gates to Cheryl's house, in the car was a man in his mid 30s with a skull neck tattoo and a blonde female who happened to be ex serpent Penny Peabody. 

"Penny how are we going to get the money Clifford owes us?"

"Well the failed attempt last night didn't do us any favors. Now the Police are on watch out we need to be careful and come up with a new plan"  

The door to Thistlehouse opened and Toni stepped out. She turned around to speak to Cheryl.

"Where did those binoculars go?" Penny started looking around until the guy handed them to her.

Penny looked through the binoculars to see Toni and Cheryl walking over to her bike. Cheryl stood next to the bike with her legs crossed nervously while Toni positioned herself on the bike. Cheryl then held out Toni's helmet and smiled at her. Toni lent over and kissed Cheryl who kissed her back.

"Oh this is too good" Penny said whilst still looking through the binoculars. 

"What? What can you see?" the man asked.

"Looks like the serpent smurfette has gotten herself a little girlfriend" Penny laughed

"Who?" 

Penny handed over the binoculars, he took them and looked through them to see Toni and Cheryl talking.

"Who's that?"

"Tobias Topaz's daughter"

"As in the serpent drug addict?" 

"Yeah. She could be useful in getting our money, and I wouldn't mind taking her down as well" 

"What do you have in mind?"

"Are you up for a little kidnap?" 

"Kidnap? Not what I was thinking but sure. I would love to get one over on the serpents" the guy laughed

"I was thinking more of the red head"

"As long as we get our money and don't get caught I don't care" 

"Come on, let's go, I'll tell the others to meet us a the usual place" 

The car was started, and they left and headed down the road to their meeting spot which was a run down bar on the border between Riverdale and Centerville. Meanwhile back outside Cheryl's house, Toni and Cheryl were still talking. 

"I really should get going, I will see you at school?" Toni loosen the strap on her helmet and began to put it on her head

"Wait" Cheryl interrupted

"I mean, I guess, I just wanted to know what this is" Cheryl nervously hinted at her and Toni

"It can be whatever you want it to be" Toni said softly

"I really like you Toni" Cheryl confessed

"And I really like you" Toni took Cheryl's hand

"We can talk more later, but I really have to go" Toni apologised

Cheryl nodded and smiled at Toni.  She started her bike and left the driveway leaving Cheryl standing there. She breathed out heavily then hurried back inside to put on an outfit that would hopefully grab Toni's attention. 

Fangs and Sweet Pea  were at their lockers getting their books for their morning classes, Toni walked quickly up to her locker which was next to theirs.

"Hey guys" Toni said slightly out of breathe

"Where was you this morning? We came by the trailer and saw your bike wasn't there" Fangs shut his locker and turned to face the smaller serpent

"I stayed at Cheryl's" Toni started to turn the lock on her locker

"Oh right. We are going down the Wyrm after school for a couple of games of pool if you're up for it, loser buys drinks?" Sweat Pea suggested

"Sure, what time shall I meet yous?" Toni opened the door to her locker and waited for he reply

"SP what time?" she turned to look at him.

Both boys were staring down the hallway with their mouths slightly open with shock.

"What are you staring at?" 

Toni closed her locker door to see Cheryl walking up the hallway in red top the showed off her upper chest and part of the toned body that Toni saw last night, along with a short skirt that exposed Cheryl's long legs. Toni couldn't believe what she was seeing as Cheryl continued to walk down the hall. Toni tried to distract herself from staring and began trying to sort her books out, in the process she dropped a textbook. Cheryl stopped to bend down and pick it up, she then handed it the book back to Toni.

"I...umm...thanks" Toni said nervously without making eye contact

Cheryl winked at Toni and continued down the hallway to her class. Toni rested her head on her locker.

"Fuck" she breathed out

"God, when did the northsider hot" Sweat Pea 

"T, what happened there" Fangs laughed

The bell rang to signal first period. Toni turned around to look at them.

"I'll tell you later" 

The three of them left their lockers and went off to their classes. Meanwhile Cheryl felt pleased with Toni's reactions, it was the kind of shock she was hoping for.
