Divergent: 16 & Pregnant

Chapter 14: The Dinner.

*Tris Pov*

"Why do I have to go? Can I stay at Christina's house. I have loads of homework" I say

"It's Friday, It's not due until Monday, Just please. I know you are not on good terms with Four and all but-" Mom starts

"Why? What happened what did he do?" Dad asks getting mad. 

"Nothing. We um broke up. Well I broke up with him" I say making it up. I rather not tell them I am pregnant. 5 months late. 

Please don't ask me why. 

"Why?"

"Because we wanted to wait until the school year is over so we won't be distracted or pressured?" I say more like a question than an answer. 

"Okay."

Phew. 

"So where are we eating? I need to know if I need to eat a burger or something before we leave" Josh says and me and Caleb nod. 

"An Asian restaurant where the cook it in front of you" Mom says and we nod. "Shoo! Go get dressed. Be down here in thirty minutes" 

I get up off of the comfortable couch and slowly make my way up the stairs. My back is still really killing me. I go into my bedroom and shut the door. Peaches is on her bed taking a nap and Rocky is chewing on her bone. I swear Rocky is with me more than Caleb and Josh. Dad got peaches for me and Rocky for the boys. But I think they can sense what I am going through and sticks around to protect me. But they can't do much since they are little. But Rocky is getting really big. 

I lock the door and go take a quick shower. When I am done. I dry off and put some lotion on. I slide on my underwear, my bra and the compression tank top. I sit down at my desk and start on my hair and make up. I Facetime Christina and she answers really quick. 

"What's wrong?"

"Ugh. Guess what. Tonight I am going out with my family to a dinner. With Four and his family." 

She gaps. 

"Oh my goodness. That's crazy."

"I know right I tried to stay home but my mom would not take no for an answer."

"That must suck."

"Very much so."

After a while of talking I hang up and finish my hair. I had blow dryed it and then parted the front in the middle and put waves in it so it is falling down my shoulders. I hurry and put on some eyeliner, blush, Mascara, and a velvet color lipstick. I get up and decide on a little above the knee length loose pull over sweater dress that has a little elastic part at the bottom so it hugs on my knees but the top and rest is a little loose. I put on calf high black boots with a 4 inch heel. I put on a black diamond necklace and earrings . Some rings and bracelets and I grab my purse with my things in there. I walk down the steps and sit back on the couch and the baby starts to kick again bringing tears in my eyes that I quickly blink away. 

"You look nice Tris" Both Caleb and Josh say a they walk into the living room and I smile at them, They can be a pain in the butt sometimes but we love each other very much. 

"Thanks, you guys look amazing" They have on suits and their hair is clean and fixed up nicely and they smell like soap. 

"Aw, you guys look amazing lets go." Mom and Dad smile when they walk into the room.

"Hello Marcus. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Natalie This is my oldest son Caleb, Middle Child Beatrice and Youngest boy Joshua." Mom says shaking Marcus' hand, his wife hand.
