2 months later; 9 Months Pregnant
I sit in Sonny's Ford truck with the AC blasting. It is so hot outside. We have one week of school left and it is Sunday today. Sonny and I are sitting in the parking lot of this public place called the Chasm. I would always come here when I was like around three months to clear my head, No one really ever comes here. It's almost like the Niagara Falls but calmer going down.
If you was wondering sonny has been staying for two months-letting his school ship him his work or email it. He is leaving tomorrow sadly. I am wearing acid washed high waist jeans with an elastic part for the top, an orange zip up hoody and orange low top chucks. My hair is pulled in a messy bun and I hardly have any make up on.
I had took off my hoody leaving me in a tight white V-neck. I also took off my shoes sitting with my legs crossed in front of me so they are not touching the 'floor'. We had stopped by Wendy's before we came here. I got fries, Chicken nuggets, and a Ginger Ale.
I can hardly eat right now because I am having horrible Braxton Hicks. If you don't know what Braxton Hicks are then you will soon find out because I don't know what they are and that is why I am reading about them now.
"Before "true" labor begins, you may have "false" labor pains. These are also known as Braxton Hicks contractions. They are your body's way of getting ready for the real thing -- the day you give birth -- but they are not a sign that labor has begun or is getting ready to begin."
I start to panic. Am I that close to having this baby? Oh my goodness! That is so much pain and I am still in school! What if I go into labor at school! That would be horrible.
I turn up the A.C higher and sink back in my chair continuing
"Some women describe Braxton Hicks contractions as tightening in the abdomen that comes and goes. Many women say these "false" contractions feel like mild menstrual cramps.-hell yes- Braxton Hicks contractions may be uncomfortable, but they do not cause labor or open the cervix"
"EW Tris! I don't want to know that!" Sonny says and I slap his mouth.
"Shut up!" I say
"Ow!"
I roll my eyes and continue reading. I feel that tightening again and just relax. I am not going into labor right now and they are not close together so that is all that matters.
I close the baby book setting it back in my purse.
"So what did the Doc say?" Sonny says. We actually went to my doctor's appointment today and then Wendy's and then here.
"Um. He said that I am doing well and the next time he would see me is when I am pushing her out. I need to remember to take it slow, get rest, and drink plenty of water."
With that being said Sonny picks up my cup that I am about to happily drink and throws out the window pulling a cold water bottle from his cup holder handing it to me and I stare at him.
"I can't believe you just did that" I say "Never mess with a pregnant, hormonal, fat, teenager's ginger ale!" I say and he starts to laugh.
"You are not fat. Just simply carrying a baby-Which you need to tell your parents about.
I still can't believe you didn't tell already. I have been here two months! I could have help you tell them!" He says and I look down at my hands.
"I just- I just don't know Sonny. I mean I am 9 months pregnant now. They should might as well wait until I have her" I say
"Tris you need to be careful. What happens if you go into labor at school! You are 1 week away from your due date. Anything could happen and I am leaving tomorrow. I don't want anything to happen to you because you are like my little sister and I love you!" He says and tears start to blur my vision.
