Chapter 1: Appointments

I wake up slowly not wanting to ruin this fine Summer morning. Yep, It's the summer and this year I am going to be a junior..... Officially in a week.

I throw the covers off of me and I go into my bathroom and take a shower and brush my brace infected teeth.

When I am finished I get out of the shower and do my usual routine. I put on an small bra and underwear set and then I grab my tape and I do multiple layers hiding my 36D boobs and actually big butt. This summer I had a growth spurt EVERYWHERE except my height. Yep I am still a whooping 5 ft,

I brush through my hair leaving it down and I put my rubber bands on my braces and then I put my glasses that is way too small.

I go down stairs and into the kitchen and sit quietly at our island reaching over grabbing some orange juice along the way. My little annoying 14 year old brother Josh is already downstairs devouring a bowl of cereal. I roll my eyes and sit beside him and he rolls his eyes too.

"Good Morning Sweetie" My mother smiles at me as she walks into the kitchen in her robe.

"Morning Mom" I say drinking my juice.

"Do you mind going to your dentist appointment by yourself today? I have to take care of some business" She says grabbing the news paper.

"Um, Yeah Sure" I nod

"Beatrice Prior" The pretty lady calls. I stand up and she leads me to the back where I can see my orthodontist.

I sit down on the chair that I used to sit on every month but that is ending Today since I am getting my braces off. I take off my rubber bands and the doctor leans me back and works his magic.

45 minutes later I am walking out of the doctors office with a pearly white smile and straight teeth that is sore like heck.

I get into the car and drive home. When I get home I see that my mom car is gone but Caleb's Ford truck is there. I groan and unlock the door. Once I step inside I go straight to the kitchen grabbing my paperwork of my eye doctor and prescription so I can get contacts and better glasses.

That is the worst mistake ever because there is Caleb's guy friends sitting right there at the island. I am surprised that the girls aren't here. There is Will, Al, Uriah, Zeke, and the one I hate the most. Four. He is always making fun of me the most and always have the most sly remarks.

I quietly try to sneak out but Caleb stops me.

"Yo! Beatrice! Dad called today....and I see you got those train tracks off" He says making everyone at the table laugh. "Finally" He adds his Italian Accent think and pure.

Yep, I am Italian my father and mother is. We are actually from New York Staten Island, then we moved to Bronx, Long Island and lastly Brooklyn and BOOM! We ended in Chicago to get away from some drama my father started. My father who is with the M.O.B and is in Jail should be coming to join us probably. My father is like the godfather to all of the drug dealers and top people. People are afraid of him and we needed to get away from the violence.

I nod my head and grab the keys again.

"Where are you going?" Caleb asks the same time as Josh when he walks into the kitchen.

"I have to go to eye doctor I will be right back" My accent is the same as his Thick and Pure.

"It's about time" Caleb and Four say at the same time and I roll my eyes storming out of the kitchen.
