Time Skip
*Tris Pov*Have you ever had the feelings where you look at someone do a trick so easily or watch someone on a roller-coaster and think hey I can do this but when the time comes it's harder than you thought or more scary in the moment.
That's how I felt when I was pregnant with Brooke. I thought my parents did a very good job with keeping up with bills and taking care of all three of us.
Even the times when my father was in jail. My mother held her own, she fought hard.
So when I was pregnant with Brooke I thought I could imitate anything they did and everything would run smoothly. But it didn't turn out well.
I guess it's harder since I'm still in school, still trying to get an education so I can have a sturdy and permanent job.
These past weeks after the move has really taken a toll on us. We've actually started college at CCU, Chicago Common University.
The classes are starting out easy but now they are gradually getting harder. My major is to work as an accountant. I like dealing with money and financial markets . . . Things like that.
I think that's why we aren't too bad in debt now. If I weren't like that we definitely would.
We are so fortunate.
+++
Right now Tobias is at work and I am simultaneously doing homework and face timing with Christina while Brooke sleeps on the bed beside me.
I start my next paragraph on how to deal with getting out of debt and getting good credit for a house.
"So, we totally have to schedule an upcoming sleepover at your house. I know that I'm looking forward to invest in one for Will and I." She says smiling "Are you even listening to me?"
"Yes, house, Will, You." I jumble out a whole bunch of words nodding placing a period at the end of my sentence.
"That sounds good, then I won't feel so left out." I chuckle.
It takes a few seconds for my screen to catch up with the movement but I see her nod her head.
We talk for a while before Brooke starts stirring occasionally.
She starts whimpering and I turn back to the camera.
"Gotta go Christina. Brooke's waking up now and she doesn't sound too happy." I say
"Alright then, I gotta finish my homework if I want to be a seamstress!" Christina says enthusiastically.
"Yeah," I chuckle "Bye."
"Bye give Brooke a kiss for me!"
"Alright"
"Bye"
"Bye"
Brooke continues to cry and I lift her up and hold her in my arms.
"Daddy.." She whines and I pout wiping her face.
"He's at work now, he'll be home tonight." I say.
My heart aches for Brooke. I don't like seeing her upset, that might explain why she's so spoiled.
"Are you hungry?" I ask and she nods placing her head on my shoulder.
I save what's left on my laptop and I go downstairs sitting her at the island with strap in seat so she won't fall.
I start to look in our now packed fridge and I pull out some left over chicken from last night and I cut up some vegetables and cook that and I warm the also left over rice in the microwave.
I set her warm food on her small plate and give her a tiny, baby fork.
I warm some food out for myself and when we are finished I wash the dishes and make Tobias a plate.
I take Brooke upstairs and give her a bath then I put some pajamas on her and we go downstairs and I turn o the television and put on Monsters University.
While she watches the movie I finish up my homework. The door opens and Brooke eyes widen and she gets off the couch and toddles her way to the front with me behind her just in case it isn't an intruder.
There stands Tobias looking so tired that if you blow on him he will fall straight asleep.
He stretched his back and picks up Brooke.
"Hey giggles!" He says kissing her cheek and she giggles and squeals from the scruff of his beard.
"Hey." He says and kisses me on the lips as Brooke starts blabbering to him.
"Hey how was work?" I ask once Brooke's finished and we go to the kitchen.
"Tiring, busy, annoying. We have a new employee at Lowes, Eric. He's such a pain.." Tobias says kissing my lips again.
"I guess you met your match." I joke and his face falls in a 'really?' manner.
"Kidding!" I say laughing and he hands me Brooke.
"It's time to go to bed now Brooke!" I say and she starts whining.
"No!"
"Ah, let her stay up. I just got home."he says
"Okay, but you look dead tired." I say
"It's part of being parent babe." He says and I nod.
Sometimes I think, what would happen if I didn't get pregnant. Would I still be partying? Would I be reckless and unsafe?
I guess things happen for the better.
"Fine, only for ten minutes. She did take a nap earlier." I say and both Tobias and Brooke cheer while I warm some milk for her.
"Yeah, Yeah," I say rolling my eyes.
+++Tobias' head lays on my chest while he sleeps soundly. I can tell he's tired because he's snoring softly.
His arms are around me and we are laying in the pitch dark.
I know we are going to have to go through hoops and obstacles until we get balanced.
It's almost like a balance beam, you keep going through a lot of taking things away, adding. Hell, even starting over. But in the end everything turns out even and perfect.
That's all we are going through. Now we just have to be patient.

Wattpad need to chill out with all these app updates. Like for real I just got used to the new update now the works is all jacked up.
Honestly I like it now but I also liked the older version. Something simple but oh well, I bet once I get used to this another update is going to happen.
Anyways hoped you enjoyed this chapter. I am trying to make this as realistic as possible.
Like they aren't going to have all the money in the world, Brooke isn't going to be perfect child and never get disciplined, everyone is not going to be nice, everything is not going to run smoothly.
That is my goal so I hope you enjoyed there life at home in the new house.
