Chapter 38: House? 2

*Tris Pov*

After having a filing meal at IHOP which consisted of turkey bacon, eggs, and tall mountains of pancakes. We decided to go home when we noticed that Brooke who was covered in mini chocolate pancake bits was getting tired.

So here we are back at the house sitting at the dining room table with my parents while a clean Brooke is upstairs taking a nap with Josh and Caleb since all three of them have the itis including me. But I need to talk to my parents about the house.

"A house." Dad says as his voice is the only sound in the dining room. Mom is beside him while Tobias and I are in front of him holding hands under the table.

"A house is a big step while still being in high school." Dad adds.

I am about to open my mouth to say something. But, mom beats me to it and it is the exact same thing I was going to say.

"Well, Andrew, having a baby while still being in high school was a big step as well." Mom backs us both up.

"Yeah, but paying bills and homework. I don't want you guys to be distracted by all this stress and get hurt, trust me, I have been there and done that." Dad says

"Well I think that it is the best thing for us to do right now Mr. Prior. We already have a
beautiful daughter, I have a job and willing to get more. Tris is working, we are both honor students, and if we work hard enough we can get scholarships. I think that this is a huge step but I believe that we are willing to do it." Tobias says with pure confidence.

"I agree." I say and Dad sits there thinking.

"I don't know, Natalie?" Dad says

"I think it's a wonderful idea." Mom says

"Let's just see where you guys are standing financially and then we will start looking for houses." Dad says and Tobias squeezes my hand.

Later on that night Tobias leaves because Marcus called him home wanting him to 'spend some quality time at home with his loving son' bull-crap.

We are sitting at the dining room table once again having an Italian themed meal tonight. Spaghetti and Meatballs with garlic bread.

"Guys, your Uncle Vido called yesterday guys." Dad says and all our eyes light up.

Uncle Vido is like the scary Italian that guy that looks like he is about to tell someone they are going to be sleeping with the fishes but deep down inside through that scary exterior he is a big fluffy cuddly bear just like Tobias.

He secretly likes to bake cakes and works with the cake boss sometimes.

He is the best uncle anyone could ask for.

"What did he say?" Josh asks with a mouthful of bread.

"Well, he called to ask us did we want to go visit him in New York on you guys' winter break." Dad says

"What did you say?" I ask happily

"I said heck yeah." Dad says and we all cheer.

"Winter break for the kids is in a week and then we can catch a flight up there to go see them." Mom says

"Did you hear that Brooke!" Josh says to Brooke who has sauce all over her face and she looks to him with curiosity. "We are going to New York!" He shouts and she throws some noodles at him.

We laugh and continue our meal together.

The gang and I sit in the cold bleachers during our lunch break talking about the upcoming winter break plans. I have on a pair of khaki cargo skinny jeans, a black sweatshirt that says surfboard my pink timberlands and my hair is pulled into a bun. I have on pink diamond earrings and I have on light make up with pink lipstick.

"Well, we are going up to go see my aunts and uncles in Staten Island." I say and everyone gasps.

"CAN I GO??!?!!?" They start going crazy.

"Maybe I could meet the godfather eh?" Uriah says in a fake Italian accent.

"Shoot, all you got to do is talk to Tris' father." Christina laughs. I glare at her while everyone laughs at her lame excuse of a joke.

"Well. I would have to ask my parents. Hopefully they say yes." I say picking over my lunch food.

"Alright don't forget."

"Fine, I won't."
