Chapter 22: Relationship

*Tris Pov*

I unlock the front door to my house and when I walk inside I see Dad sitting on the couch watching television with Brooke in his arms asleep.

"Hi!" I say happy to see my baby. This has been the longest since I have been away from her.

"Shh..." I turn around to face the boys and I place a finger to my lips. Rocky runs to the boys while Peaches pounces her way to me and I lift her up and pat her head. I walk into the kitchen and wash my hands.

I grab some chips and grapes. I sit down and eat that while I text Christina. I lock my phone and stand up after I eat. I throw my napkin away and wash my hands again.

"When was the last time she ate?" I ask

"Around twelve she is taking her nap now." Dad says. Then she should wake up around 4 and it is 3:15 now.

"Thank you!" I whisper taking Brooke out his arms slinging my book bag over my shoulder and walking up the steps. I lay her on my bed and she stirs I lean down and kiss her forehead and put my book bag in the corner. I lift her up and put her in her swinging bassinette. I don't turn it on and I go into the bathroom and I take off my makeup which is not a lot.

I take off my shoes placing them in my closet neatly. When I am finished I just lay in bed staring at the ceiling think about my life when my eyes start to close and I fall asleep.

I wake to crying and I shoot up. I look out the window and I see the sun going down. I look in the bassinette and see Brooke crying and squirming around.

I fly up and place her in my arms bouncing her up and down. She buries her face in my chest and fist her little fist in my shirt. I lock the door and turn on the light. I lift up my shirt and pull down my bra and let her latch on and she sucks greedily. While she is eating I put the burp cloth on my shoulder.

I lift her up and burp her and she lets out a loud burp and I let her latch onto the other side. When she is done I pat her back again and she burps but this time spits up.

"Feel better?" I ask and she coos in my arms. I put her on the changing table and I slip off her wet diaper and I place a dry one on after I wipe it.

I grab her and go down the steps.

No one is here but Caleb and he is texting someone maybe Susan because he has a grin on his face.

"Where is everyone at?" I ask sitting beside him and he takes Brooke from my arms and holds her.

"Josh is at his friend's house. He will be back at 8, Dad went to work, Mom is at the store and I am about to leave to go to Susan's house." He says standing up.

"Be back by the time mom comes back." I say

"She shops forever so I might be back a ten" He jokes and I roll my eyes.

"Use protection!" I shout as he walks out the door. He turns around.

"Ditto" He says looking down at Brooke and my mouth drops. He is just so ugh!

I shut and lock the door.

"I guess it is just us guys!" I say as Rocky and Peaches crowd around me and I look at

Brooke who smiles and giggles at me accidently slobbing on herself. I fake gag and
wipe her mouth with my shirt.

Brooke is swinging in her bassinette while I take a quick shower. When I get out I put on a pair of booty short underwear and basketball shorts and a baggy sweatshirt. I don't bother putting on a bra since I will be feeding Brooke sometime soon.

I wrap my wet hair in a towel and I hear a knock on the door.

"Who could that be?" I ask Brooke and she just stares up at me with her royal blue eyes.

"It's raining cats and dogs outside-no offense." I say looking at Peaches and Rocky.

I pick up the bassinette and go downstairs with Brooke inside of it and the pup and kitten following me.

I put the bassinette in the living room and turn it on making it swing.

"You look sleepy little one." I say as her eyes start to slit and she yawns.

More knocking is happening and I rush to the door.

"I'M COMING MOM YOU SHOULD HAVE NOT LEFT YOUR KE-"I say and stop talking.
