I was with Calum, packing for the cabin party we're going to. He had informed me Luke was going and I did my best to shrug it off because one, I really need to work harder on moving on from everything and two, I figured there would be enough people as to, we wouldn't bump into each other.
I almost wished Derek was coming because he had been a very good distraction for me lately. The only guy I ever really liked was Luke but of course, I always did my best to not have to confront those feelings.
I didn't want to pull the cliche fall for your best friend but you can only spend so much time with someone who is everything you look for in a guy, before you fall for him.
All I know is that I needed a good, stress free weekend. Things had been too tense for my liking and all the drama, I was just over it, but things could never go my way.
-
"Woah, this place is incredible.""Close your mouth before bugs fly in, Calum." I joked making him playfully glare at me.
I was almost sad when I realized none of us were sharing a cabin but it was also cool that we all got our own. I made my way to mine, setting my stuff down before looking around.
I quickly started to unpack everything since I wanted to get a good look around this place before the party starts tomorrow.
It was already kind of late since it's Friday and we had to drive up here straight after school even though we could've waited until tomorrow, I don't know why we didn't.
"Calum, let's go look around quickly." I said, dragging him out by his arm.
"Someone's eager." I laughed until I saw him.
"Just ignore him." Calum whispered, shrugging his arm around my shoulder.
-
"We're leaving tomorrow, try not to get too drunk." I warned Calum before going out separate ways. This place was amazing but as of right now we were in a huge room filled with hot tubs and pool tables and alcohol sitting everywhere. It was every teenagers dream place.
I walked around for a while, just people watching. Calum had asked me if I wanted him to stay near me but I didn't want to ruin his night. I ended up hanging out with Marie for a while but then I got both bored and tired.
I went to leave before I saw Luke with some girl, even though he didn't seemed interested I went and took a shot until I realized this wasn't me and I just left. Maybe this weekend wasn't as good as I thought it would.
I started heading back to my cabin, probably to sleep because what else was there to do now? I forgot to even tell Calum I was leaving but he's probably too drunk to even realize at this point.
I heard the door open behind me but I paid no attention to it and kept walking until I felt someone next to me, I looked up to see the usual blonde haired boy and rolled my eyes.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I miss you." He whispered.
"Obviously you don't because you still want nothing to do with me."
"Eves, it's just complicated, okay? Can we please spend tonight together, like a normal best friend night?"
"But we aren't- Nevermind, sure." I agreed, not quite sure as to why, I was just setting myself up for more pain in the future.
I led him back to my cabin, walking in and shutting the door behind us. I muttered to him that I was going to change and he took a seat on my bed.
When I came out I didn't exactly know where to sit, and it just made me realize how much I hated all of this. I was no longer comfortable around someone who I use to be able to do anything in front of.
"You can come sit down, I don't bite." Luke tried to lighten the mood and I giggled at his horrible attempt.
"Cute shirt." He winked and I felt my cheeks heat up when I realized I sub consciously threw on one of his old oversized shirts I probably stole.
"So, how's life been?" He asked and I glared at him quickly.
What did he expect me to say? Oh yeah, life's been great. My "best friend" randomly dropped me and continues to confuse the hell out of me because one second he's mean and then he's sitting on my bed with me?
"I can't just have this conversation with you, Luke."
"Then don't." He smirked, pulling me over and letting me climb on him so I was straddling him.
I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering what he meant but I knew exactly what he meant when his fingers met my sides. He was holding me in place, had me begging for him to stop.
I leaned down and our faces were inches apart and that made him stop. We both kept leaning in until our lips met and it took both of us a couple seconds to kiss back but once our lips were moving in sync I couldn't get enough of this.
He flipped us over so he was on top of me, we continued our makeout session before he moved down and started working on my neck, sure to leave noticeable marks there tomorrow. He pulled away for a second to say;
"Remember that dumb promise we made? "We'll keep our virginities for each other." Yeah, I kept it."
"So did I."
