"Evie! Oh my god." Luke's cousin came running over to me, engulfing me in a hug.

"We haven't spoken or seen in other in ages, how have you been?" Oh, just feeling terrible because of your cousin.

"I have been doing well, and you?" I asked, keeping the fake smile on my face.

I started to zone out of what she said, thinking back to the kiss. I still had butterflies in my stomach, my heart was still racing, and I still wanted more, not that I should, but I do.

"The rest of the family is outside, the food is almost done, they're just setting the huge table." His cousin, Savannah giggled before pulling me outside.

For the next 15 minutes it was a constant battle of "who gets to talk to Evie." I had seen his family in a while so I could understand why my name was being shouted left and right, my arm being tugged this way, and that way.

Luke finally came out, walking over to where I was and asking to borrow me for a moment. I was silently thanking him over and over for that, his family, just like anyone else's, can be a bit over the top sometimes, I love them anyways.

"I could tell you were uncomfortable." He shifted awkwardly.

Funny how after all these months he can still read me and my emotions so well, I figured all that would go away the more we stopped talking but I guess not.

We walked further out into the yard as we waited for the food to be done, taking our time walking to the fence before leaning up on it.

"I think they love you more than me." He joked.

"Who wouldn't?" I joked back.

We were steady laughing for a good few minutes before silence had overcome us again. The sun was beginning to set and the sky looked beautiful as ever.

"I've missed this." I said.

"Me too, me too."

"Foods ready!" Someone yelled, making us advert our attention back to where everyone was.

We walked back, Luke ended up taking my hand, pulling me over to sit next to him, which again, I was thankful for because I didn't want to be stuck between two people I barely knew or who wouldn't stop talking to me. I just wasn't in the talking mood.

"So, you and Luke dating yet?" His grandfather asked, making all heads turn to us, and my body stiffen.

"Hahaha, not yet, papa." I responded.

I was close enough to some of his family to call them that, or joke around with them. It was a good feeling since my family was and is such a terrible mess.

"Well, I'm waiting for the day." He smiled with a wink to the both of us.

I felt Luke's hand find mine and I went to pull away but he intertwined our fingers and I liked the way it felt, the way he made me feel so I let it go and just let our hands stay like this until dinner was done.

I barely ate, too tired and just not in the mood. So, I listened to everyone else's conversation in the meantime, also, while catching Luke staring at me every once in a while, which didn't go unnoticed by his family either.

Let's just say, by the end of dinner but Luke and I were bright red, and I was also thankful when it was finally over, instantly running off to the kitchen to help Liz, though she insisted she didn't need any help, so I went out to the living room, saying goodbye to everyone.

Once everyone was gone, I plopped down on the couch. It may not have seemed like it but it was a long day and I just wanted to cuddle up in bed at this point.

"Liz, I'm going to get going." I said, hugging her.

"It was great having you here, you know you're always welcome. Now, go say by to Luke." She smiled.

"Luke!" I yelled once I got back into the living room.

"I'm leaving." I stated once he got down the stairs.

"Wait, you're tired. How about I drive you back to mine and you can leave tomorrow?" He spoke quickly.

"Or, I can just drive back to mine."

Of course, once I saw the hurt look on his face I pretended to be joking and actually agreed to stay at his which was stupid on my part, but it was too late to back out.

The drive was quiet again, just the sound of other cars and the radio playing could be heard. When we got to his place, I realized it wasn't actually too far from mine.

"Nice place." I said.

It really was, even though I could tell his mom definitely decorated the place, it was too good to come like this or him to do it.

"You're really tired, do you just want to go to sleep?" I nodded.

"Come on."

He lead me to his room, sitting me down on his bed while he rummaged through his dresser. He pulled out one of his shirts to hand to me, since that's all I use to wear at night.

I laid back on his bed, letting out a groan. I was too tired to do anything, even undress myself and put this stupid shirt on.

"Luke, put it on for me." He looked at me weird.

"Oh, come on. You've done it before." I laughed slightly.

Once he changed me, he asked me where I wanted to stay and I just mumbled "in here" and I guess he didn't think I would want him to stay, which I did or I would've just said I will stay in the guest room.

"Luke, stay in here and cuddle with me."

I saw a smile appear on his face before he walked over to his bed and climbed in, pulling me into his chest, his around me with mine over his stomach.

"I want to have sèx with you so badly, right now, but I don't want to take the chance of you not being here when I wake up."

"If it makes you feel any better, I want to have sèx with you too, but we're both too tired." We laughed before drifting off to sleep.
